Le Douet Fleury - Chambre d'Hôtes et Gîtes

A comfortable room in an attractive old building well situated for visiting the lovely area. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They are restoring the building and developing their business including offering an evening meal shared with them. It was a very enjoyable evening and their recommendation to visit the nearby Livarot cheese maker added to a very good visit.

The stairs were hard work for a couple of oldies!

Christopher and Ryan were excellent hosts and gave us lots of information and useful tips. Our room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. A good sized en-suite. A typical and adequate French breakfast and what we didn't eat was put into a packet for 'the road'. The little garden was delightful to spend a quiet afternoon with a good book. Lots of nice little touches and a really interesting property. Parking was no problem nearby and always plenty of spaces. The little town had enough for our 2 night stay. A couple of bars and a good Italian restaurant. There were a couple of things we didn't have time to do but it's a good excuse for a return visit. 👍
