Awesome hotel in liseaux downtown

I love the fact that the hotel was really well located and also has really good accomodations which surprise me a lot , I loved the restaurant and specifically the attention,they really make you feel welcome. Overall really good experience .I don't know if previous comments are accurate or old but we did have an awesome experience and don't see any of the other comments in this experience maybe either the hotel fix it or we were lucky. anyway I super recommend it

Disappointing pit stop

Its geographic location. The separate twin bedroom for the kids. The beds were clean and comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good as it makes quality food and the staff is very attentive and friendly. They are sadly not in charge of making breakfast….They do deserve a good (separate) rating!

The room was basic and smelling of cigarettes. It seems it’s been mentioned in other reviews before so the staff can’t be totally unaware of the problem. As we had to sleep with the windows opened to bear the smell, we had a free wake up call from the dustbin lorries… overall too expensive for what it is.

Central where we could walk to all the attractions. Peaceful small town. Good for a quick stay. Host and staff was very nice.

Horrible staying in an old hotel on my own with no staff present

Breakfast ok.

No one there from noon till 5pm. Phoned at 530 pm and was given a code to get in. Nowhere to leave my bike securely. No guidance as to where to go for evening meal.

A very good overnight stay

Bed was comfortable & the shower was good & hot. The restaurant was attractive & the food good (dinner & breakfast). I walked in dripping wet, but Mark made me tea before helping me take my stuff up to my room & then found a space in the single garage for my motorbike. All done with a smile 😊

It was adequate but probably wouldn’t book again.

Staff were helpful when I pointed out I’d booked a large double bed and we’d been given a standard.

It was rather rundown, reception area smelled unpleasant, bathroom needed upgrading - in particular ceiling had mould on it. Room was very hot and no fridge or air conditioning.

Room for improvement

Excellent restaurant and pleasant staff, both helpful and friendly.

Shower dirty and leaking from hose which had rust on connectors. Floor was grubby. If we were staying longer than overnight we would have complained but sleep before ferrywas required.

A good standard centrally located hotel with helpful staff and excellent restaurant

We stayed 3 nights. The rooms were comfortable enough, but showing their age in some areas, eg carpets. Toilet and shower facilities both good. Two breakfast options offered - Express and Standard. Both offered good value. The restaurant deserves particular mention: we ate there twice and both were excellent meals. Very central location on the edge of the pedestrian zone so surprisingly quiet.

Wifi worked in ground floor lobby/restaurant areas, but not in rooms. No persistent log-in: each time you had to re-connect using the wifi code and your email address, then accept Ts & Cs, so more complicated than it needed to be.

Short visit

The hotel was near everything we wanted to see. Our room was comfortable. The staff was especially accomodating. We didn't make it during the check-in times but they answered our text quickly and made sure we were able to get in, and they had our receipt ready and waiting when we left early morning (also outside check-out times). Overall, I would most definitely stay here again!

Pleasant VFM room for two in Lisieux.

Breakfast good. Room ok. Reading light good at bedtime. Very central. Parking fairly close - two hours per day free, then charges but quite cheap. Pleasant interior to building. Logis de France restaurant on ground floor. Nice staff. Comfortable beds. I liked it.

Great location. Liked that their was a tea kettle. Everything was clean and the internet was good! The staff was super nice, upbeat and helpful.

I had the window open and the air from the window made the closed door move and make noise at night. (I fixed this with a cardboard wedge during my stay.)
