the people were great, given that booking.com system faulted them and us.
they were not notified of our stay as it was an urgent booking for the same night, and Booking.com booked the stay a week late. Yet the amazing people prepared us a 1ST Class supper at short notice, re-arranged their schedules to accommodate us, really going of their way to be as accommodating as they could, even though we arrived after 21h00
The Location is beautiful, if they had prior notification, I'm sure everything would perfect
Booking.com system was a disappointment, finding the venue was an absolute nightmare as their was no contact informartion and the location we stayed was linked to a diffent venue, which we did not know
but getting hold of anyone @ Booking.com is just plainly impossible

It was peaceful with horses, giraffes and other domesticated animals roaming freely in the facility. The sound of the river flowing close by was just great for relaxation outside. The horse riding was great.
The restaurant was not functional during our visit. it would have been great to have all the services in one facility so that one does not have to drive out of the venue for the entire weekend. However we were directed to a conveniently close by café Elle.

I was happy when the hosts moved us to the main lodge at Thandile Country Lodge. We ended up having a lovely stay and really enjoyed the views, the grounds with the roaming animals and we loved the dogs.
The river cottages were not very comfortable and when we arrived the geyser was leaking which made it difficult to get hot water.
