Great homestay situated in the perfect location. Excellent value for money and felt very safe and homely here. Very friendly and kind staff. The hot water, with tea and coffee was an added bonus! Loved the stunning pool, too!!!

Cozy, friendly, and welcoming stay in downtown Ubud

Lovely, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Surprisingly quiet for downtown Ubud. Not 5 star luxury but an absolute steal for the price and managed by a very kind and helpful family.

Not the absolute cleanest placed I’ve ever stayed, but far from the worst I’ve seen in Bali.

Terrible. Dirty and Noisy.

It is located on a super noisy street and the sounds travels into to the room. The building is at the back of a family compound and half of the building are one "inn" and the other half is a different company. There is a pool.

Booking.com is horrible so use another service to book this homestay.

Clean, simple, no frills accomodation in Central Ubud. 🥰

A very clean Homestay with a traditional feel and vibe to it. Great location too.

The bathroom with no separation between the shower and toilet meaning water gets everywhere. Also the bathroom lighting was quite dull making it hard to see. Very small and paper thin walls meaning I heard everything going on in the room next to mine and I mean everything!!! Guests were very noisy too coming up and down the stairs at night. Additionally, I had zero wifi for the entire stay.

Good budget stay in compact grounds

Rooms and bed were clean and comfortable, ac worked well, location was ideal with access to the central area, staff were good.

The main issues for me was the construction noise next door & porches were all very close together and no privacy when sitting outside- my neighbour was on the phone right outside my door after 11pm & didn’t seem to think this was an issue- if you have one inconsiderate person they disturb many rooms as it’s very compact. The pool area is also the same, compact, you feel that everything is squeezed in as opposed to other places that have gardens and are spread out. It’s a step above a hostel but I’d pay a few dollars more for more space. This was shown on the photos but was more cramped than expected.

Perfect stay

Super friendly and helpful staff! The guesthouse is right in the center of Ubud, close to restaurants, cafes, etc. WiFi works well and the place is super clean. The swimming pool is a big plus!

Good location and extremely good value for money

One night a stray dog barked at me aggressively at the entrance and followed me into the hotel! I thought breakfast was included, but due to limited English from staff I was told to go outside the hotel. The receptionist was often not around, and even when pressing the bell they didn’t hear, so I had to wait until they eventually turned up. The bed was also a bit hard

Kind, welcoming staff and a great value for the location

Buana Ubud Inn was a great place to stay during our time in Ubud. The location is incredibly convenient—right in the center of town and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and many sightseeing spots. The staff were always kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. While our room was on the smaller side for two people with large luggage and backpacks, we were out exploring most of the time and didn’t need anything fancy. The room was clean, the shower had consistent hot water, and the property features a beautiful, well-maintained shared pool that was perfect for relaxing after a day out. Just a heads-up: there’s no elevator and the stairs are a bit narrow, but this wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, it suited our needs perfectly and was great value for the location.

Simple, Quiet, Fills the need.

Buana Ubud Homestay is tucked away from the street-front, so much so that it feels quite private and removed from the throb of the main streets. Signage at the front is minimal, so keep your eyes peeled for it! The staff were efficient, and ensured facilities were kept as operational as possible throughout my stay. The pool is a treat for the senses if you're staying in the heat. My room was on the first floor, accessed through narrow stairs. Facilities were basic but robust, including a solid shower and a comfortable bed. Each morning a thermos of hot water was delivered outside the room for use with instant coffee (some provided), and the balcony chairs provided a beautiful vantage over the grounds. The room I stayed in was perfect for a solo traveler but I imagine it may have been a squeeze for more than one person.

The staff were friendly and available as needed, but I did feel like they were nervous or reserved to interact with me whilst I was there. My check-in was incredibly fast, almost with no words shared. It was also a little hard to get information about what was available around the property, meaning I did a bit of wandering away from the homestay and had more informative conversations through street vendors about what to do in Ubud.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The hotel staff doesn't speak English but they always do their best to help you. There are 2 kittens at the hotel, they are absolutely adorable.

Nothing bad to mention about the room, but I think it's not the best option in Ubud you can have.

The accommodation was fantastic. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Showers were good, as were the toilets. Pool was lovely and refreshing. Staff lovely as well.

It was really hard to find originally. The sign is super tiny, and almost blends in with the walls so we really struggled, the street was also closed at the time of drop of (not the hotels fault) so we didn’t get dropped straight outside and had to find ourselves. A lovely local man helped us.

Staff were lovely. Nice tidy and clean room. The room was tidied every day and the breakfast was brought to the room in the morning. The pool was great and the place felt nice and quiet despite being so close to everything. Very good for the price.

Does have a central location but there was a lot of building work on the road so no cars were allowed so we always had to walk to the main ubud street to meet our taxi drivers Also some of the sheets had holes in them so may need replacing

Location was great, close to shops, services and restaurants. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were good with a pleasant sitting area outside and the pool was very refreshing after being out all day. The setting/garden was lovely.

The shower in the bathroom was good but could have had a screen/curtain around it.

Loved the street it is on - a bit quieter than others but still really close to everything. Room was clean and cool. The breakfast is big enough - recommend the pancakes and omelette. Airport pickup was smooth.

Rooms were nice and and clean, breakfast brought to your room every morning, staff were friendly and helped with booking transfers, tours, and laundry, free water to refill your bottle and location was close to everything.

Great location, really nice pool to relax in after walking around ubud all day. The staff are lovely and made the room each day. Breakfast is quite simple but good. Really nice little sanctuary away from the busy streets.

The bed we had was quite firm, so if you’re not a firm bed person this could be a problem, we slept fine though. There was a bad smell in the bathroom but this is quite common in Bali and didn’t worry us.

The staff were wonderful and kind and the pool and small patio spectacular. Room was exactly like the pictures and breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Ubud. Great location, situated between two good vegetarian restaurants and beside a cute cafe with great coffee and cinnamon rolls. On leaving, they organised a driver named Kadek for us to our next accommodation. He was so nice and we'd highly recommend him :).

No need to look anywhere else in Ubud!

Most homely stay we’ve been in across Asia! loved it so much we extended our stay! you are served breakfast and free coffee outside the room which overlooks the pool. WiFi reached our room. Rack in the room the dry clothes. Room is cleaned every day with fresh towels and a pool towel. Thank you for a great stay!
