When I reached Jaipur, I had absolutely no idea about the hostel I had booked. I was completely blank and nervous. When I arrived at Ghat Gate Street to check in at Ali Baba Hostel, the host, Junaid brother, personally came and took me to the room I had booked. From that moment itself, something felt right.
The calmness and pleasant feeling inside the building instantly made me feel like I was at home. The biggest plus of this hostel is that the owner and his family also live there. That makes all the difference. It never felt like a commercial hostel it truly felt like a family home.
Ammi’s food is a gem. The very first food I ate in Jaipur was cooked by her, and it was unforgettable. She made kofta, fish curry, aaloo paratha, and chicken for me each dish was on another level. You can feel the love in the food, not just the taste.
The father is equally kind and always makes you feel comfortable and happy. The two brothers are extremely helpful and treated me like their own brother. I stayed here for more than 14 days, and not even for a single day did it feel like a hostel.
When I arrived in Jaipur, I didn’t know a single person. But when I checked out after completing my stay at Ali Baba Hostel, I left with something priceless a family in Jaipur with truly pure hearts.
I will always be grateful for this place and the people. Highly recommended for anyone looking for more than just a stay this is a home.
Pls delete this option for this hostel. They dont deserve this option.😁

Large spacious room with a good bathroom only 20 minute walk from the Palace of Winds. The family were very warm and welcoming and lovely to chat to and let us have a late checkout so that we could wait there until we needed to catch our train. They helped us with everything we needed and it was very reasonably priced !

The family is extremely friendly.
Beautiful terrace.
A lot of house industry with gemstones.
The streets were not clean because of a strike but I loved the area.

This hostel is run by the most lovely family. For a solo traveller I felt so welcomed, taken care of and made to feel welcome and at home. They couldn’t be more helpful. Going above and beyond when I was sick one day. I had the room on the roof, right onto the terrace and with own bathroom. Very relaxed, safe and overall just a lovely within budget place to stay.
I enjoy walking, so most places were a bit far and needed tuk tuk. If you not been to India before. Always be prepared for noise, rubbish and morning call to prayer. Although this to me is always a bonus.

The food and seemingly unlimited chai provided from host family was absolutely delicious. The entire vibe of the hostel is more of a home-stay with a local family who is INCREDIBLY kind, supportive, communicative, and hospitable. We were not expecting to become so close with the family and are so grateful for their insights and the time we shared (and wished we had booked a longer trip!!)
Some rickshaw/taxi drivers were only willing to drop us off or pick us up from the main street (a minute walk from hostel front door) or at Ghat gate (which was a bit further away) at busy hours of the day (/peak rush hour!) due to the location of the hostel.

My stay at this hostel was truly wonderful. They are a generous family and help you with absolutely everything. The mother makes a delicious breakfast and is like your own mother, attentive to every detail. I requested laundry service and my clothes smelled wonderful. I felt right at home. Everything was clean: the bed, the sheets, the bathroom; there was toilet paper and hot water. I had no trouble sleeping. The hostel is within easy walking distance of Jaipur Palace and the Hawa Mahal. I would definitely return
Female travelers should not walk outside the hostel after 6pm.

A very pleasant stay with a lovely family. I slept very good in their room and got lots of tips and help from the family. The mom also prepared an amazing dinner for me one night, very recommended. Breakfast was also very tasty

I really liked the area where the hostel is located. It is a working-class neighborhood with apartments and an asphalted street. It was very pleasant on the street with children playing. In addition to the many sights in Jaipur, it gives you an idea of a pleasant neighborhood where Indian people live.

Alibaba hostel is absolutely my favorite hostel I have ever stayed in.
The location is superb. Close to everything youll need.
Extremely clean hostel (not your typical dirty hostel)
Price is very reasonable and most of all staying here you feel like being part of family.
Great home food here as well.
The rooftop is another plus here. Great place to get some sunshine and hangout.
I love it here and I cant recommend this place enough.

The best thing about this place are the hosts. Juned and Navid are very relaxed, friendly and helpful, and their parents so humble and friendly as well! Lovely rooftop terrace with nice view, fast wifi, breakfast at your preferred time and a good location within the old city. Would stay again when in Jaipur, and wish them all the best with their relatively young hostel.

The family has been very helpful. They gave me all the tips I needed to enjoy Jaipur and have suggested many options for me to visit many monuments
The room is big, clean and very comfortable. I strongly recommend this place. The location is also convenient for this big city

Very helpful and friendly hosting family, living in the same building. Felt safe.
They provide breakfast at your own time and arranged pick up and drop off to the train station.
If staying in the private room with terrace, take into account that the bathroom is outside the room. Both the bathroom and the room had no proper windows, so gets very cold in the winter. The owner gave me a heater though and said it will fix the windows in the near future.

I expected a usual cheap hostel where you just have the basics, but this hostel is actually very nicely decorated and the dormitory is very small, so there can only be a few other people, I was actually there alone! So I had a private room for the price of a hostel bed. But the main thing why I really recommend this place is the owners. They're the sweetest, most welcoming and most humble family I have come across in India yet. They help you with anything you ask for and also much more, without being pushy or wanting anything more from you.
The only thing would be that the bed was a little hard. And the area can be a bit noisy, but in my case that was probably becuse it was wedding season.

The hostel is clean and quiet, in a nice area near the city centre (15 minutes walking) with many markets and restaurants around. It's a nice place to stay in Jaipur

The breakfast was amazing. We had homemade masala chai, made with fresh ingredients. You can also arrange with them to make breakfast of your choice and have it on a beautiful rooftop. We stayed in a spacious room, and had our own private bathroom which was clean and had hot water. This was one of the most amazing stays in India, every information that we needed, we got from Juned or Navid. The hostel's location is not far from the city center, in a peaceful neighborhood. Everything was accustomed to our needs, we have also spent some time with this amazing family and they did their best to explain Indian Culture to us. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Our stay at Alibaba hostel was an amazing experience. It is run by a lovely family who is always there to help and provide whatever you need. They have 24/7 service and lovely rooftop place for chilling. Wifi is super fast and unlimited so I could easily work from there. The place is super quiet with comfortable bed great for relax after crazy day spent in the city.
The location is just 15 minutes walking from Hawa Mahal, and easy to access all main attractions in Jaipur. The tuk tuk ride costs us just 70 indian rupias (Less than 1 eur) to reach Monkey temple, Jal Mahal and Albert museum.
The hostel is equipped with all necessities including hairdryer.
They also can provide you with henna mehndi work on your hands or feet for great price of just 5 eur. Also they handcrafts jewelry with silver or gold including stones. I highly recommend Alibaba hostel.
All was great

Hostal gestionat per una família i pendents de les necessitats dels seus hostes. Habitació gran i confortable. A 25 minuts caminant del centre de la ciutat (Hawa Mahal). Wifi bé. Aigua calenta. L'esmorzar esta inclós i esta bo (torrades, truita, te i platan). Tenen una terrassa.
Res a destacar.
