We had a great 4 nights , we were there to visit family before Christmas, and they came to see us , they were very impre

The views were amazing and not far to walk to mountain. The cottage was well equipped and clean , I like the idea of security at the gates to get in and out . Plenty of parking. And the dog park was a good idea .

Family hiking trip

We had a wonderful stay at Upper Grippath Cottage( 2 bedroom ) with our family of four! The cottage was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed. Beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and a warm, welcoming host. We’d love to come back! 🌿

Peaceful stay in a stunning location

Holiday cottage was spotless on arrival. Warm welcome from the host. Bed was super comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for home cooking. Location was perfect for visiting both mountains, sea and city of Cardiff. Loved the peaceful location and calls of the sheep surrounding us. The views from the cottage were stunning.

Picturesque & Peaceful

Fantastic find! We stayed in Hafen. From the off, there was good communication, and a day before arrival, we received an email with directions and info. Access is so easy with a smart entry system and being gated adds security. We were greeted by Fluffy, the cat, and then Louise, who is great and nothing is too much trouble. She has a great sense of humour, too. The house is gorgeous and comfortable with lovely decor, quality linens/ textiles, solid wooden furniture, and has everything you need and more. The WiFi is excellent, not that you will be looking at screens with the incredible views! Great as a base, only about half an hour away from attractions, but also nice to be able to walk over the fields amongst the sheep. So now, to address the lane. After reading other reviews, I almost didn't book! I'm so glad I did. Yes, it is narrow and winding. The first couple of times driving it were a bit nerve-wracking, but then you get the hang of it. We used the lane off Snowdon Close as it seemed to be quieter. Would we stay here again? ABSOLUTELY, if in the area. We have already recommended it to family and friends.

Quiet, comfortable, clean and well equipped…..with amazing views!

The property was fully equipped, lovely & clean and super comfortable. Parking was easy and the wifi was really good. The views are amazing! Lots of options for outdoor seating too and the weather has been amazing, so we spent a good deal of time outside.

The property was fantastic……the roads to get to the property are very narrow, with few passing areas. Locals travel the road far quicker than me!

Comfortable and peaceful break in a scenic location

Upper Grippath is a beautiful place set in a very scenic location. We stayed in the cottage called Hafren, which had breathtaking views of the valley. Louise our host, was lovely, helpful and welcoming and was ready to help with every request we had. We got to see the little lambs and made friends with Fluffy the cat, who adopted us. The place is very clean, bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, and the kitchen is well equipped. There's an enjoyable 4k walk leading up to Twmbarlwm mountain with beautiful views at the summit.

Beautiful views in a peaceful and dog friendly spot.

We booked our stay as we had to move out of our property during renovations and wanted to take our dogs with us somewhere relaxing. What a fabulous place to say - stunning views, wonderful area on site for dogs and really wonderful hosts. We are so grateful and had a brilliant time - helped take the stress out of a stressful time with renovations!

Louise was polite and friendly on arrival. She went out of her way to get us some milk so we all could have a hot drink. The property Had all the kitchen utensils needed. Beds were very comfortable and all areas clean and tidy. Had a tv with dvd attached. WiFi was great. In a rural area so loving the peace and quiet & views were fantastic. Would stay again.

We liked the whole trip specially the host Louise she was best when we arrived there we didn't had any idea that its on hill top and we need to go all way down to do grocery we just went there by public transport. Once we reach there we were like hell we cant go back down to buy grocery but Louise saw us and help us with the keys and she offer us lift to the tesco which was too kind and very helpful. And she waited outside tesco for about 30-40 min as we complete our shopping. That thing literally something amazing. Thank you soo much louise for everything. And the place was mind blowing too peace-full where you can relax and chill. You'llbe far away from the crowd and noises and you can find some peace jn your life. In short it was amazing

Lovely Cottage with fab views

Louise was so helpful and when we got stuck in traffic travelling from Durham, we were easily able to access the cottage. Everything we needed was in the cottage and beds were very comfortable, we all slept well. Thank you for a lovely stay and would definitely book again if staying in the area
