Apartment Lindbichler

Krásně vybavený, prostorný a pohodlný apartmán se dvěma ložnicemi. Ideální místo pro lyžování Dorfgastein a Gastein, obojí 5-10 minut autem.

Huge spacious and warm apartment with beautiful old furniture and soft comfortable bedding and towels. Well equipped with induction hob, large bath and shower cubicle, and washing machine. Plenty of storage space and hangers. Large balcony. Complimentary coffee capsules. Welcoming friendly host who lives in apartment below. Surrounded by trees so feels private. Easier with a car but this part of the world is stunning that you will want to explore anyway.

If you are a light sleeper it may be difficult as there are no curtains/blinds/shutters, you are close to the train line and next to the main road (not busy), and the double and one single bed creak extremely loudly on minimal movement (even for small children). No frosted glass either. Bring toilet rolls (we were given half a roll for 4 people for 5 nights) and handsoap for the toilet too.

The apartment has a lot of potential, it's large, beautiful, and relatively comfortable. However, there are a few weaknesses that will keep me from going back there.

First, the driveway and parking lot to the apartment are not well maintained and you can actually slip on the ice in the parking lot. The owner put gravel there, which helped for two days, and then the ice took over again... I expect the place to maintain the parking lot and not wait for my request. Second, the apartment has a shower and a bathtub (in the same room), however, the water flow in the shower makes it unsuitable for use. The mattresses in the apartment are very simple and not very comfortable. Only two positions on the electric plate work, two are inactive. The location of the apartment is outside the city in a fairly isolated place, but between a main road and a railway line. So sitting on the balcony is noisy. In other words, you can't really enjoy the Alps' sounds of silence. Also, I'd rather pay ten euros more and not have them charge me for a washing machine and extra toilet paper.
