Accessing the apartment was easy - instructions on exactly where to pick up the keys were sent in advance. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings, and is located in a quiet, convenient part of Vienna. Bus stops are right next to the building. The Wi-Fi works well. There are two separate rooms. There was no cable TV, but we could access YouTube, which was sufficient for us. Liquid soap, dishwashing liquid, and - for those who need them - laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets were provided.

The apartment is on the third/fourth floor, so climbing the stairs might be difficult for an older person. The apartment itself is in need of renovation: a window in the hallway doesn't close properly (leaving a fairly large gap), the windows in one of the bedrooms can only be open at the top (they don't open fully), and one window in the other bedroom is missing its handle. The kitchen bar stools are worn out, and the dishwasher sticks out (likely because it doesn't fit the cabinetry). The footboard of one bed and the armrest of an armchair are broken. The floors are old and creak loudly when walked upon. The bathroom is separated from the kitchen by semi-transparent glass, which feels a bit uncomfortable. One of the floor fans was so dusty that I was afraid to even turn it on..

Die Unterkunft ist geräumig. Man vermag problemlos eine Woche darin zu verleben. Das Internet ist stabil, sodass man auch von dort aus Arbeiten kann. Der in einem Zimmer vorhandene Schreibtisch vereinfacht etwaige Smart-Working-Pflichten zusätzlich. Die Küche ist mit Allem ausgestattet, sodass man sich auch problemlos selbst versorgen könnte, so man dies wollte. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral in einem Viertel voller Bars, Restaurants und Geschäfte. Die innere Stadt ist wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern verlief reibungslos. Man erhält viele hilfreiche Tipps.

Lagebedingt stehen wenig überraschend keine Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Dass man zwei Kaffeekapseln für eine Kaffeemaschine erhielt, die mit Filter arbeitet, war hoffentlich ironisch gemeint. Das sind aber Marginalien. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.
