Green Sapa Homestay

With the night market and bus station both within walking distance, the location is extremely convenient. You can enjoy Sapa’s evening atmosphere without worrying about transport.

Although we only stopped by for a meal and did not stay overnight, we had a very pleasant experience. The food was of good quality, and the cacao yogurt in particular was excellent and worth trying. The owner was polite, friendly, and welcoming, and despite limited English, made a genuine effort to ensure we felt comfortable. Even with our short visit, we were impressed and left with a very positive impression.

I booked a bus to Ninh Bin , they booked me a last place , but i didn’t know which and about existing of that bad seat , it was shorter than all in the end of bus usually selling on lower price , i would love to know about this detail before booking, worst cabin bus ever ! Booked it to try and were hoping more comfort than sleeping bus , but turned out my nightmare, check the details with stuff pr book directly from office . I don’t mention problem solving skills when pick up shuttle didn’t come , luckily one of 3 staff members helped me out ! Big thanks ! But i would prefer staying one more night in hotel rather than taking that bus

All points given are for the girls at reception. They were very sweet, calm, helpful, hard-working. I had a problem with the mattress (hole in it), which doesn't matter as they all helped me to fix it and did everything they could. For the price it's really good value, a double or twin room with a private shower and balcony, and even a basic breakfast included. Some people complain about the location, high up a hill, but it's also calmer, away from heavy traffic noise and with nicer views. I liked the little shared patio, where you can also order (good) coffee and delicious and cheap sandwiches (Bahn Mi), the dinners weren't my favorite (instant noodles with beef kidney and liver instead of normal beef meat).

Unfortunately, I cannot give it 10/10, because 3 out of 4 nights we hardly slept, even when talk taking sleeping medication. And that's what a hotel is for, after all. Some Vietnamese families take the quiet hours until 7AM very literally, and started blasting music at exactly that time, as well as making loud out our phone calls outside and blasting some music instruments (?). The walls are paper thin and with the windows closed it gets hot and humid inside (no AC), so that means you can't keep the noise out. There was also a complete hole in the ceiling so mosquitoes could get in, and we found leeches in the shower. Also no mosquito nets so you can comfortably open the windows, we used our own car camping nets. Unfortunately, we therefore decided to go elsewhere. Motorbike rental not recommended, they use an external company renting out dangerous bikes (the brakes stopped working when going down a hill, and low engine power, unable to go up a mountain).
