Sapa Tatu Homestay

Son is an excellent host! She made us feel at home from the start - was friendly and welcoming, and very helpful :) * The provided breakfasts were hearty and delicious! (We did not elect the dinner option, but expect it would have been equally enjoyable!) * The bed was firm but very comfortable - we slept well. * The view from our room was incredible :) * The provided fan was indispensable. * The location was perfect for a walk to Fansipan Cable Car and an easy walk to town with good food options nearby.

These are just suggestions for improvement, as we truly enjoyed our stay! * Ventilation in the room could be improved by fixing the exhaust fan in the bathroom. * It would be nice to have a wall mount for the handheld shower. * Although the beds, floor, and bathroom were clean overall, a deeper cleaning into the corners would be useful :)

I truly felt that Son, the owner, treated me like a friend rather than just a guest. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality made my stay unforgettable. Sapa Tatu is a special place, located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood of Sapa, away from the traffic and noise, surrounded by beautiful plants and the sounds of birds. It has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The rooms are very spacious, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. One thing that makes this homestay even more special is Son herself. If you enjoy staying active, you can even join her for a morning workout at the gym. She is also always happy to help you organize your trip, whether it's booking activities, arranging transportation, or giving honest local recommendations. She genuinely wants her guests to have the best possible experience in Sapa. Even if you find another place that looks better on paper, I still recommend visiting Sapa Tatu just to experience its unique atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. Beautiful rooms can be found almost anywhere, but it's rare to meet someone who makes you feel so genuinely welcome. Thank you, Son, for making my stay such a wonderful memory. I truly hope to come back one day.

Honestly, even if there were a few small things I didn't like, Son's kindness and hospitality made me forget about them. The way she genuinely cares about her guests is far more memorable than any minor inconvenience.

It was clean and peaceful. The owner was very knowledgeable about the area and what to do. She helped me arrange a motorbike and even got me a pickup for the bus back to hanoi. Breakfast was nice and the views were great. I was able to see the sea of clouds one morning for sunrise. Booked 3 nights and stayed 5.

It's about a ten minute walk down into the town. For me that was fine but you can easily get a taxi or motorbike if needed.

To be honest not much.

While it’s sold as a home stay it’s really just a few rooms in an ok location with styrofoam beds, old grubby rooms, no vibe and not much going for it.
