Amble Harbour retreats

No breakfast but plenty of places to eat out.

Bathroom a little small but ok

The owners were very nice and helpful. The location was great, the room was very nice. Just a lot of dust

The room was not exactly clean, an old bottle top found, and the room was very dusty

Very close to the town. Comfortable bed. Lovely courtyard at the side called harbour hatch. There was a little fridge in the room. Didn’t expect that but was great to have.

You could hear the fishermen early morning. But it wasn’t a problem for us.

Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee making supplies, including fresh milk which was a bonus. Fairly easy to get on street parking nearby.

Saturday night was very noisy outside with a pub right across the road as well as other places close by. Also some noisy guests came in late talking loudly and closing doors noisily. After that I could hear someone next door snoring and the fridge in the room was very noisy whenever it started running, so it kept waking me. I'll admit I am quite a light sleeper. The shower was only luke-warm no matter how I tried different settings. Also the only accessible electric sockets were on a trailing extension lead that sparked when I plugged in my phone charger and the USB plug in it got so hot I could barely touch it towards the end of charging. Using the same plug and cable at home, this doesn't happen.
