That place is amazing! The room itself was really nice. The bed was big and comfortable, and the A/C and Wi-Fi were both reliable. The room was also very well equipped, with a fan, kettle, free coffee, soap, body wash, a mini fridge, flip-flops, and a towel. What I enjoyed the most was the balcony overlooking the Mekong River. It had a hammock and a small coffee table, which made it a perfect spot to enjoy a coffee in the morning and take in the view. I was really satisfied with the room and would definitely recommend it. The location is also excellent, right by the pier. You can rent bicycles or scooters directly from the property, which makes it very convenient to explore the island. The host was very friendly and caring. He gave me lots of useful advice and suggestions about things to do and places to visit. Overall, I had a great stay!

Here are a couple of things to note. Ants: There were quite a lot of ants in the room. That being said, ants seem to be everywhere on the island, so I understand that they can be difficult to completely avoid. If I were the host, though, I would still consider putting out some ant traps to help reduce the problem and make guests feel more comfortable. Bed linens: The bed covers and sheets had some visible stains. I think replacing them with fresh, stain-free linens would make the room feel cleaner and more comfortable. That being said, I think it is also important to keep things in perspective when travelling in Laos. This is a developing country, and accommodation standards can be different from what some travellers may be used to in Europe or North America. We as travellers should keep an open mind and adjust their expectations accordingly. I personally don't consider these issues serious enough to take away from what was otherwise a very pleasant stay.

L’établissement est idéalement situé. Le personnel est serviable et toujours disponible. La guest house propose des services comme la location de vélo, la lessive et des tickets de bus VIP pour rejoindre le Cambodge. La chambre est très propre dans l’ensemble et les lits sont confortables.

Quelques fourmis peuvent s’inviter sur votre lit mais rien de méchant. Le jet de la douche est un peu trop faible. La chambre n’est pas totalement refaite durant le séjour.

Nice location close to the ferry and with nice sunsets. Possibility to rent bikes for a cheap price (although they are not in the best condition)

For being the most expensive hotel we booked during our 3 weeks stay in Laos, we had many disappointing moments: - The main door to our room was not locking, and it took us some time to convince them to exchange the lock right away. - Not a single place in the room to hang something like towels, clothes, etc - The bathroom door was not closing properly, there was no mirror in the bathroom, water from the shower was smelly and the toilet seat was loose. - The terrace was very dirty and even with a full ashtray. - In the bathroom we found a huge spider. - No privacy, as the neighbors can look inside your room from their terraces. Our neighbors also did very loud FaceTime calls with their families on the balcony and we could understand every single word. - The bus ride to Bangkok that we booked with them was a disaster. They told us we would get only one sleeping bus, but in the end, we had to change buses in the middle of the trip and both of them were really slow and uncomfortable. The first one wasn't even a sleeper bus. The hotel is more expensive compared to other hotels in the area but just because of the location and terrace with sunset views. In our opinion, that's not worth it because they are many lovely bars and restaurants where you can also enjoy the sunset.
