About this house rental
Welcome to our spacious family home located in a highly desirable area of Pacific Grove (PG). We are owner-occupants offering select short term rental availability each year. Don't see your preferred dates available? Message us! Sometimes availability is flexible.

LOCATION:
Located in the heart of the historic PG Retreat neighborhood, this vintage craftsman-style home is a half block walk to Berwick Park and the Coastal Recreational Trail on the Monterey Bay. A few steps farther will take you to the many amenities available in downtown PG, Lover’s Point, and Cannery Row.
We are a 5-minute walk to vibrant downtown PG, and a 10-minute coastal trail stroll to the Aquarium.
Though close to the action, the home is situated on a quiet and peaceful lane located between the main thoroughfares, adjacent to a breathtaking 100-year-old Moreton Bay Fig tree.
OUR HOME:
Built in 1914 & remodeled down to the studs in 1997, our home includes 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen & breakfast nook, formal dining room, family room, laundry room, and a home office. The master bedroom (with ensuite bathroom and laundry) and kids’ room are both upstairs, while the guest room (with ensuite bathroom) is downstairs. Upon request, there is a brand new Luonto queen-size sleeper sofa in the office that can be made into a very comfortable bed.
We have everything you will need for your stay, including two gas fireplaces and new stainless-steel Bosch kitchen appliances. Utilities include high speed Wi-Fi, two smart TVs with multiple channel subscriptions, central heating, SimpliSafe alarm & keyless entry system, weekly trash pickup, and tankless water heater.
The exterior boasts a beautiful garden, including an outdoor dining table under coastal oak trees, and a lovely new fire-pit seating area under the stars (just push a button and enjoy a warm fire). The side yard hosts a grass lawn and natural gas BBQ grill under a custom-made pergola. Our private driveway includes a Level-2 electric vehicle charger. If you are bringing an additional car, parking is easy to find along the street.

While we can't offer you a vacation from your kids, our home is ready for the perfect family getaway. There is enough space to bring the grandparents, so start planning your date nights!

We had the best stay! We escaped the Texas heat for a two week stay and the house was perfect. It easily accommodated our family of four ( 2 kids) plus my parents very comfortably. The location was in such close proximity to the beach and the house was stocked with anything we could possibly need. If you are traveling with kids they made our stay very easy with having a crib, highchair and toys galore to keep our littles entertained. Highly recommend!

Wonderful charming historic cottage home close to everything. It is so well equipped and you feel at home immediately. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and they will suggest activities that surpass a local's knowledge.

We absolutely loved our trip to Pacific Grove/Monterey and staying in the Travis family home! It was absolutely perfect for our family. My wife and I traveled with our two boys as well and my parents, and the house was a perfect size for us all. Our boys loved the toys and we loved having access to all the baby/child gear that made traveling with our kids so much easier and like home. The house is just lovely and we loved being just a block away from the coastal trail, being in walking distance to Lovers Point park for tide pooling, staying in the town of Pacific Grove, and being close to all the attractions we wanted to do (Monterey Bay Aquarium, whale watching tour in Moss Landing, and a drive down to Big Sur). I don’t think we could have picked a more perfect place to stay! Even two free passes to the aquarium! We loved coming back to a cozy home each day. Jennifer and John were great to work with and had everything set up for us perfectly for what we needed for our family. We would love to travel out here again, and if we do, we would love to stay here again!
