The Very smart and well designed en-suite bathroom .

The bed needs pillow and mattress protecters for hygiene reasons . The heating could have been set higher for the time of year the radiator was only just warm making it chilly in the evenings. But we were given a convector heater immediately .

Exceptionally clean and spacious studio with ensuite and kitchenette.

Super studio with very good facilities. Extremely comfortable bed, lovely furnishings and excellent ensuite. Easy check in and first rate wifi and TV. Lovely location with stunning views on the short walk down to town. I made very good use of the fridge, microwave and table & chairs and the room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Very polite host, Rachel who sent clear instructions ahead of my stay. I would definitely return and highly recommend to others.

Lovely studio apartment at good price.

Very clean and smart/modern. Has fridge, microwave, kettle, smart tv, wifi, comfortable bed, good pillows, good shower, good price. It is only 3 minutes walk to the Derbyshire County archives. 30 second walk to a great artisan jewellery shop stocking work of thirty jewellers. Quick helpful replies from owner.

It is a short but quite steep climb-walk up from the town centre (or £4 taxi from outside m&s or via bus until 5.15pm). Cars pass close outside so I used earplugs until midnight and from 6am to sleep well.

The accommodation was perfect for me. I would use again.

Nice clean room with everything you need for a short stay. Everything in good condition and well maintained. Easy downhill walk into Matlock centre, bus stops and railway station.

Some people may find the walk uphill from the centre of Matlock to the accommodation challenging. No problem if you can walk uphill. Some people may not like the sound of traffic from the road outside the accommodation. It was fine for me. Suggest ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping.

The road was a little noisy and the guests upstairs had heavy feet, the hill was a great leg burner too 😀

Lovely little property, bit noisy

Lovely location for the town and transport links. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely decor.

It was a bit on the small side. Although we were pre warned about traffic noise and pedestrians it was still worse than expected, as the road leads down to the main traffic island into the town.

Pleasant stay

Great location for walking into Matlock and for exploring the area. Steep walk back up the hill but everything hilly nearby! Smart decoration and very clean. Everything worked and all you would need for a short stay. Mini kitchen area with only a microwave but this suited us as we wanted to try local eateries and dislike cooking on holiday.

Maybe some blinds to help block out the sun into the room as we were there during a heatwave. Fans were provided which helped.

Great to see friends. The room served a purpose. Wouldn’t stay again as expensive for space.

Bed was attached to / part of the windowsill. It made the bed not level so your head was slightly elevated. Had to keep the curtains closed for privacy too. The door to the bathroom was a sliding door but it was very unstable.

Handy for central Matlock

Great location for central Matlock as was attending an event in Hall Leys Park, a few minutes away on foot. Property was compact, clean, warm and comfortable, it had everything I needed for 2 nights stay. Walking back up the hill was a good work out! Free weekend parking directly outside the flat, weekdays there is a payable car park not too far down Bank Road across the street, which is not expensive.

Very clean and comfortable one-bedroom ground floor apartment (one room, including kitchen area, plus shower room). Great location to explore the surrounding area. On-road parking nearby. Easy check-in and check-out process.

1 Night Stay

Studio 2 provided a great little stay for one night, all the facilities you would need were there and it was clear the owners had thought about this. The owners had warned us about road noise but honestly after around 10pm there was very little and we both slept well after a day of hiking and eating too much food. The studio is perfectly situated for walking into the centre of Matlock and getting parked on a side road was really easy, even on a BH.

The property was clean, had everything we needed and close to town centre. The Prosecco and water in the fridge was a nice touch.

There was a lot of noise due to the close proximity to a busy road, the property was really light in the morning and blinds insufficient to block out light from large windows.
