This is an exceptional property to stay in and explore West Mersea and the surrounding areas.

The contact prior to our arrival, the location, the cleanliness of the house, the attention to detail, the care and thought from the host. Everything had been thought of and Amanda (the host) had also made us the most fabulous cake.

Attention to detail in the property was excellent (nothing was overlooked) We had everything we needed and more. The cake and fresh eggs were a very welcome bonus.

Everything! The house is beautiful, filled with home comforts. So much thought has gone in to make sure you have all you need and more. The Xmas decorations were fabulous and the cake was divine- what more could you ask for 😊

Klara’s house was spotless, it had everything we could have wished for. The beds were comfy and added extras made it all the more special.

Wonderful!

Everything was wonderful – the hosts, the location, the accommodation, the cleanliness, the cake! And my partner particularly appreciated the coffee machine (and coffee pods). ☕️ Pet friendliness was really important to us, so it was lovely to find dog toys (and treats!) We had a lovely time playing and lounging with our dogs in the garden, and the beach was only a short walk away (as were a few shops, cafes and restaurants). I only wish we'd been able to stay longer… ♥️ Just one suggestion: maybe pick up a few cheap DVDs from a charity shop to leave for the DVD player? I don't imagine many visitors will bring their own! But I couldn't bring myself to type this into the "What didn't you like?" field, as there was really nothing that we didn't like. 😊

Comfortable, quality family break in a peaceful Essex countryside place.

We were particularly impressed with all the amenities in the house; all the potential needs and requirements were anticipated / taken care of. The house layout makes one feel comfortable and there is a lovely conservatory looking at the back garden. We intend to visit again.

The visit was a result of a re-booking (originally booked for May but the visit needed to be postponed). However, it seems that there was a miscommunication between booking.com / ourselves / the landlords and this was dragging on for some time. I am not sure whose responsibility was that, but I tried my best to sort out. Also some of the personal car drivers in the wider area did not seem to concur with the peaceful countryside setting....

Wonderful home from home

This felt like a home, not just a rental. Great location and all those little touches to make you feel welcome are wonderful. Pet friendly and still fresh and clean.

Could do with another bathroom but with management it wasn’t an issue. The pros far out weigh any cons.

Fabulous stay at Klara’s House

Beautiful, comfortable home from home. This was our second time staying here as we absolutely loved it the first time. Amanda thinks of everything - including a home baked cake on arrival. She also left us some fresh eggs and the house is well stocked with luxurious Neals Yard hand wash to use etc. the house location is great - very close to the beach and shops. The garden is a good size and my dogs much appreciated all the dog-friendly touches - dog treats, dog blankets. We will be coming back!

A great house in a brilliant location.

This house was amazing! Very clean, lots of lovely touches, everything we could have wanted. It is in a brilliant location with the beach, cafes and restaurants all in walking distance. The host was lovely, so accommodating. We would definitely recommend.

A truly delightful stay filled with comfort, warmth, and unforgettable memories.

Just prior to arrival, we were sent the key to the lock box to obtain the key. This was a very easy, smooth process. When entering the property, it reflected owners who care about your stay. Great attention to detail. The house was immaculate and every room had thoughtful personal touches. We were welcomed with a home-baked cake, which was extremely tasty and needless to say, did not last long. We also had specific needs which were catered for again with great thought. Provisions for dogs were extensive. Overall, our stay was extremely enjoyable -this was our second time at Klara's House and we are now looking forward to our third!

Excellent property in great location

The property was clean, spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed. We were three couples and appreciated the three spacious double bedrooms and ample living space, including a small sunny conservatory and secluded back garden with outdoor table and chairs. The hosts could not have been more helpful before and during our stay, offering us early check-in and late checkout. The location is very peaceful and perfect for walking to the seafront, restaurants and pubs. The outside appearance of this property might not be as appealing or attractive as some of the period cottages in West Mersea but the inside is hard to beat. Highly recommend

Charming house on a charming little island

Lovely welcoming home; tradition but with modern touches for comfort. A lovely welcome from the host with a home made cake waiting, and all the little essentials we might need from tea and coffee to soaps etc. walking distance to the beach and the victory inn.

Beautiful home away from home with every comfort.

The house is beautifully decorated and furnished and the host has thought of everything needed for a holiday away from home. Lovely extra touches included a freshly baked cake, newly laid eggs, a coffee machine, a variety of teas and even a chocolate velvetizer. There’s a nice garden too and the house’s location is within easy walking distance of the restaurants in West Mersea. The host was on hand to offer help and advice and certainly made us feel very welcome in this lovely holiday home. Would return in a heartbeat.

Fabulous

Everything. The house was like walking into a quality show home. We didn't need to bring any toiletries, towels, or bedding. The kitchen was fabulously stocked with tea, coffee, and even a Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate maker ...... and a gorgeous home baked cake greated us on arrival. Also very flexible on check in and departure times.. Just so lovely. We will book again.

Excellent - very comfy sofas and beds .

Very cosy and home from home. Generously cooked scones and provided strawberries and cream to go with them.

Recycling wasn’t mentioned and we only found the recycling bins down the side of the house just before we left!

It was perfect, totally relaxing for us all.

Beautifully looked-after property. The decor was exceptional making for a relaxing and clutter free environment. The kitchen was fully equipped with high quality appliances. Lovely touches of milk in the fridge many different teas and coffee. Delicious home laid eggs and the yummy home made gluten free cake, very much appreciated. The location was in a quiet residential road, but only a 10 minute walk from the quayside and delicious fish restaurants. Each bedroom had extremely comfortable beds with quality bedding. The Neal's Yard toiletries were a luxury we all enjoyed. The bathroom and cloakroom were spotlessly clean, like all the rooms. 10/10
