Goyarra in Rye

I loved the layout, the decor/furniture, the coffee machine!! the linen on the bed was beautiful and luxurious. Main bed is comfortable but very low. The garden, if you’re bringing dogs (even small kids) it’s perfect as it’s fully fenced and secure. you don’t need to worry where they are as you do your thing. plenty of garden to play around. Cute fireplace area which is shaded for most of the day, great for hot days. The motorised high gate was great. wished there was a remote for it. The covered verandah was perfect to get some sun and enjoy the garden, while you work. Inside the house was cleaner than other places I’ve stayed in the area. So I didn’t need to wipe anything down, thank goodness 😅. However outside of the house definitely needs attention - windows very dirty. This place had a sense of calm and it was perfect for me.

Didn’t have a remote control for the gate. Small ant problem near the kitchen sink that were persistent that I had to keep spraying every day. Host offered to come by to try to solve the problem, but I didn’t accept, no issue just didn’t want to break my time away. but I hope they attended to it since my stay. location of the house wasn’t walking distance to the beach and roads around were very hilly. The shower recess is high above and fixed, bit of a nuisance if you don’t want to get fully wet. No bath for small kids. No dryer. Can hang washing outside just hope it doesn’t rain as it’s not sufficiently covered. No central heating/aircon, so the split system in main area won’t get into the combined bathroom/laundry room. Lastly I believe the cleaning fee is definitely extreme. I hope the consider reducing it as the place is small and doesn’t warrant it.
