The room was warm and comfortable with chairs and a TV.

We had to walk through the garden to access our downstairs room. The breakfast was OK if you like a cooked meal but not much choice otherwise. My evening meal in the bar was very poor and nobody seemed to care.

Lovely staff, very helpful and attentive. Rooms are decent sized. Central location, walking distance to everything we wanted in Alnwick.

Bath / bath mat needs updating or thorough cleaning. Some rooms are close to the street and therefore a little noise.

Good location

The room was shabby with wall paper peeling off the wall. The shower was literally useless with no water pressure and loose shower head. Resulting in a dribbling of water which you could not direct.

The meal. Gammon not thoroughly cooked. Chewy. The larger chips were under cooked. Under cooked. Found hair dryer extension on bottom of dressing table covered in dust. Shower very noisy.

The room was smaller than what we saw on booking.com the bathroom was very small and the tiling around bath grotty the shower head was loose in all the hotel was in need of some TLC and updating the breakfast was poor yes it was full English but bacon was hard sausages no taste it reminded me of premier inn but twice the price

Basic, but passable. Staff could be more engaging. Did what it said on the tin!

Cleanliness of the property, and the room in particular, was not great. Other peoples used paper-hankies on the room floor. Mould on the ceiling. Sound proofing terrible. Bathroom sink plug did not work. Bathroom door held up by a temporary wedge!

Lovely hotel, great breakfast. Very dog friendly.

Excellent staff & efficient check in. Comfortable bedroom. We had our dog with us. The room was just off the garden which was very handy. Relaxed bar where we had our breakfast so our dog could be with us. Breakfast was hot buffet, cereal, fruit, pastries and also option of specials cooked to order which were excellent.

Parking was a tad tight but there's a car park with free parking for 24 hours literally opposite the hotel car park, accessed from the road behind the hotel.

Great location and clean, comfortable stay

The staff were very approachable, friendly and helpful. We loved the location of the hotel, with very good parking, and the dining room. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great.

The evening meal in the restaurant wasn't great - even though we had excellent service. I rang and asked for my elderly Mum and me to be on the ground floor - which we technically were - but we had to go outside and up and down some quite steep steps to get to our room each time.

Below the standard I expected,

Breakfst limited, no kippers or grape fruit. Dinner very disappointing, having asked for sample menu, which was good, the choice on the night was very poor! cancelled second evenings dinner and found a satisfactory alternative locally. I had expected, from what I had been told on initial enquiry , the dining room to be full with lots of local people dining out, but instead found only 3 other couples dining in and the atmosphere dull and subdued

Daft ramp to access shower is more dangerous than a step. Bathrooms need a little maintenance. Food ok but wine was expensive. Breakfast passable.

Not value for money

Location is excellent and the Olympic dining room was the reason we booked. For White Star enthusiasts, it was a joy to eat there. Breakfasts were very good but repetitive

The hotel is rather tired and in need of an uplift. It is expensive for what it offers . We were very disappointed with the dinner booked for a special birthday.. The menu hadn't been thought through. The main course was poor with bitter flavours from grilled pork and a sauce that didn't help. It was very badly presented with undercooked vegetables and overcooked potatoes. The dessert cream was overwhelmed. Very modest wines at over £30. Service was rushed.

A very pleasant stay in a lovely hotel.

Loved the historic connection to the sister-ship of the Titanic . A very good central location for local attractions. We found the staff very helpful and polite.

The cooked breakfast could have been better presented to the extent that although cooked , the sausages looked undercooked and consequently unappetising (needed browning) Also nowhere was provided to place tureen lids when serving yourself. This resulted in the lids leaving stains on the serving table which made it look scruffy and unhygienic .

We have stayed there several times before and this time has gone right down in our estimation

The breakfast was ok on the Saturday, but Sunday the sausages weren’t cooked properly, the bacon was dry and the black pudding was rock hard and dried and could not cut. Obviously warmed through from previous day. We had not WiFi in our room and were told you couldn’t get it in the ground floor rooms

The breakfast obviously. The ground floor rooms were misleading as my husband is partly disabled and had to negotiate steps and then walk along a gravel path pulling a Suitcase. Not easy
