Le Richelieu - Cocon familliale

It's a lovely spacious family home with a great garden and terrace, so we loved sitting outside, and there's an umbrella for shade. The rooms are good size, two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen, and two good espresso coffee machines. Outside the town in a suburb, a 20 - 30 minute walk to the market and sea front. Great bakery round the corner (sells wine) and supermarket and local restaurants in walking distance, plus a bar. Very cycle-friendly town and area, well designed and community friendly.

We were there in a 40+ degree heatwave with no fans or air con so it was uncomfortable - and the plastic mattress covers didn't help! Also, the house is next to a freight railway line and the trains run at night and early morning. Plus the neighbours keep anti-social hours, talking outside until 3 in the morning. Bring good earplugs if you are a light sleeper - may not be such a problem when the windows are closed. The housekeeping could be better - cupboards filled with open and stale food and condiments - just needs some attention to detail. Finally, we had problems with access on arrival and the agent and owner were apologetic and took some action. However, they promised compensation which only just materialised after we took out a complaint with Booking.Com. It's a lovely place to stay, so deserves to succeed - just needs better management.

Maison proche du centre ville, très bien équipée et agencée avec un joli jardin. Chambres spacieuses et confortables. Des jeux à dispo pour le plaisir des petits et grands! L’équipe de la conciergerie sont très disponibles bienveillants et réactifs !

Ontvangst zou ons zonder fout verwittigen als de woning sneller was. We hebben anderhalf uur gewacht voor het huisje om dan op het check-in uur vast te stellen dat er niemand was. Het was niet proper. Wifi werkte niet en er werd amper of laat gereageerd op berichten.
