Near to City center
Room has bad smell, has some insects, air conditioner noisy, fence at balcony was broken-dangerious to fall down from balcony, my brother is wheeled chair disabled and could not reach directly to restaurant. He used kitchen door to reach, but employee said that we can not use! Not suitable for diabled people!

All staffs were kind and friendly. Breakfast was good and delicious. There is no car parking problem. Beach was awesome.
All furnitures are really old and worn. Especially bathroom is very old. There are too many old items for this price.

We had a wonderful family holiday here. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. We would definitely recommend it.

Excellent location, kind and friendly staff
Pool side bar was a little too expensive
5.0 / 10.0
While the location and quality of the hotel is excellent, it has some shortcomings that need urgent renovation. First, the hotel's location is excellent, the new breakfast room is very well-designed, and the garden and pool are in good condition.
However, the rooms are quite old (except 55'' TV), the furniture is old-fashioned (not antique), the toilet and bathroom are very old, the air condition filters are dusty, dirty and probably bacterial risk, and they are manually operated and works too noisy. Furthermore, the extra bed they provide for my child is so poor that it's unbecoming of this hotel. Parking is not sufficient for high season.

Location was good, close to main shore surrounded with tavernas and also city centre. Breakfast was ok.
Facilities are very old, needs some improvement. Air conditioning was very bad, there was a horrible smell when we have entered our room. We first thought it was because of previous guest smoked inside the room, but then we realized the smell was coming from air condition. When we asked reception to change our room, their first reaction was to upgrade our room with an extra cost per night 70 eur which was the last room left at the hotel. After complaining and threating with commenting negative at booking.com, they accepted to upgrade us without charging extra. We did not like the preseditential suite, so we did not change our room. The beach seems neglected, we did not like the sea and shore, we didn’t swim there. It was not worth for money we paid.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home throughout our visit.
The hotel’s location is perfect, offering stunning views of the sea and easy access to the city’s charming attractions. We loved taking strolls along the waterfront and exploring the local shops and restaurants, which were all within walking distance.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed to feel comfortable. The bed was especially cozy, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast served each morning was a delicious spread of local delicacies, and we couldn’t resist trying everything!
During Easter, the atmosphere at the hotel was truly special. We had the opportunity to experience some traditional Greek Easter celebrations, which made our stay even more memorable. The hotel’s team organized a lovely Easter brunch, complete with lamb and other local specialties, and we enjoyed joining in on the festive spirit.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Grecotel Egnatia Hotel provided the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and authentic Greek charm. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Alexandroupoli, and we look forward to returning in the future!

The central location and the layout was perfect for our short 2-3 day in Alexandrapouli.
The Easter weekend program was nice too.
Nice gardens and rooms that were adequate.
The hotel looks a bit old from outside and dated, but it didnt bother us. Was a nice stay.
The price of the evenning Easter dinner and event was too expensive at a 60euro pp for open buffet. When a family of 5 this can be way too much.

Breakfast and room view was fantastic
Bathroom was very dirty ! In the bathtub, there was a lot of hair from the previous guest. The springs of the mattress were incredibly noisy! And therefore the bed was not comfortable

Greco is the biggest chain of Greece. Thats why we chose the property. Due to the season the management didnt open pool and the beach. Hotel is seafront and very close to the center.
The weather was too hot but because of the central heating system the room was so hot all day.

Nothing outstanding but no major complaints. It was good.
For the cost and labeled as a luxury resort, quite frankly I expected a little more.
Only minor problems but when one pays a premium price, one should have to move furniture around to find a place to plug in a phone.
I was also told the wrong time for breakfast. Then there was only one coffee machine for a luxury resort so there were lines for coffee. Again not terrible but for the cost I expected a more customer centric experience.

lots of insects at garden level rooms

My suggestion is to increase the number of tea machines or make brewed tea during breakfast.

Room was too old, needs renovation. I ordered pizza from the room service and it was the worst pizza I ever tasted

The room was very clean and spacious, and had a nice TV. The bathroom was also clean. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was also nice with a lot of options to choose from! Location was great, quiet, but also close to the center. Big parking area. There was a mini-fridge in the room (empty- but you could fill it up with your own food). Good wifi!
there was nothing i didn't like, especially considering the price of the room.

We found bed bugs in our room , the staff from reception gave us imediately another room but never the less , it isnt a very pleasant experience to find bed bugs in such a high end resort.
Also the breakfast was a little bit lackcluster.

Hotel location is near the end of the sea promenade.
Breakfast was self served in too big hall such that the catering tables with the food disappeared in that bit place, and we felt lost there. I would suggest the hotel to partition the hall to get better feeling. Breakfast was good and the sitting tables were indoor and outdoor.
