VILLA IOLANDA - The house is well equipped with two double rooms with a large attic, kitchen with dishwasher, two bathrooms with jacuzzi and washing machine, spacious living room with 2 sofas, wood stove with fireplace, cellar, garden with patio and barbecue, 2 covered terraces with dining table and beautiful sea view. - 'LA PACE' and 'VILLA IOLANDA' are two independent houses with a separate garden, located in Cremia, a hamlet of Marnino in the Alpi Lepontine nature reserve, surrounded by greenery, ideal for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle. The 2 stone cottages are located on George Clooney's favorite lakeshore, on a green terraced countryside 200m above the lake with a splendid panoramic view. Extensive hiking trails are right outside your front door, such as the 'Via Monte Lariani', an old hiking trail that starts in Como and ends in Sorico with unrivaled constant lake views.
'LA PACE' and 'VILLA IOLANDA' are within walking distance from the public car park, which is 5 minutes away. The beach can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes or in 2 minutes by car.
Without using the car, a 5-minute walk away is a soccer field, a children's playground, a bar and a supermarket open until 7pm.
La Pace and Villa Iolanda are located in an ideal place for walks and excursions, without a car and surrounded by nature. All the towns of the upper lake of Como are connected by a promenade along the lake.

You will not be disappointed with this location! Mauro is incredibly helpful and a delight to be around. We managed to wreck our rental car two days into our eight day stay. Instead of replacing it, we learned to take the bus and ferry everywhere and it was totally worth it. Staying at Mauro's home was like going back in time. You won't get a 5 star hotel bed, but you will not regret the experience or the stay at his place. Thank you!

We (a couple with a 2 year old) ended our Italian summer holiday at Mauro's house in Cremia. After spending a week in a very quiet town in Tuscany, the area of lake Como felt a lot busier. Still, Mauro's place was very secluded and peaceful, with a great view of the lake! We really enjoyed our stay here.
The location was great with a supermarket and bar within 5 minutes walking, and lake Como and some restaurants also reachable by foot.
The car is parked more than 5 minutes away. For us this was no problem (although we packed way to much!), but it's good to keep in mind. Mauro, thank you for helping us with all the luggage!

Villa Iolanda was a perfect place to experience all that Lake Como has to offer. The hillside location has fantastic views of the lake and the mountains, and the house is quiet, comfortable, and very relaxing to stay at. We had easy access to the lake and boat shuttles, the local mountains, and it’s an easy trip into Switzerland too. Mauro was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We loved Cremia ! Thanks Mauro !
