La casa di Alessia nel centro di Como - Alessiatravelling

The compact 1-bedroom and kitchen-cum-sitting room had everything a home has. In the humid June-end heat, the AC at the end of the day was a welcome relief. The entire property was very clean and orderly. The location of La Casa di Alessia is perfect, with Como S. Giovanni train station, the lake side, Alessandro Volta Museum and the ferry terminal, a 24/7 supermarket Carrrefour, etc. within walking distance. The nextdoor 24/7 luggage storage is very handy.

At least one window roller-shutter did not have the belt to roll up to let in some fresh air. Unlike my visit the previous year (2025), this time the wash basin and the shower did not have any liquid hand soap. There were tiny thumb-size liquid soap bottles, which we guessed were for the shower, but two of them could not be opened. Perhaps an austerity measure to cut costs! We used our own bathing soap. Like the tumble dryer, some basic instruction for the dishwasher would be appreciated, as different brands and makes have different operations.

The property is close to everything. Very spacious and well maintained, clean.

No paper towel in the kitchen and not enough toilet paper. Especially the trash part, a little complicated.

Perfect location, very clean and warm. Easy access.

The floor is very, very cold. Take some slippers with you. The sofa is not very comfortable, perfect for 2 children but not good for 2 adults.

Lage. Ausstattung (für 2 Personen gut, mehr wegen Schlafgelegenheit nicht zu empfehlen)

Heizung nur stundenweise angeschaltet. So kühlt die Wohnung schnell aus. Badezimmertür fehlte. Schlafcouch ungeeignet. Vermieterin hat uns über eine Stunde bei Wintertemperaturen versetzt, Anrufe weggedrückt und erst auf Nachrichten reagiert, als wir eine Alternativunterkunft auf ihre Kosten ankündigten.
