Apartament Altamira

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat is within a residential complex. It is right on the promenade and exiting the complex to the beach is very quick. The pool is great with clean toilets, a warm pool and a cooler pool. There are some remnants of what was once the hotel which feels a little outdated, but it isn't a big deal. The room itself we enjoyed. The bed is big and comfy, and bedroom has plenty space. The living and kitchen area was good with big TV for Netflix etc. There is now only one couch in the living room rather than two (as in the pictures). This was fine for us as 2 people. The balcony was great. We found the location excellent. There is a shop across the street, nice beaches and restaurants. The bus stop is a 3 minute walk (or so) for going in either direction with frequent buses. You can also walk both ways within 30 mins or so towards central Costa Adeje or La Caleta. There are a few bars within 2-5 minutes walk. The car park outside unfortunately is extremely busy and this was April. You may struggle for a space if you have rented a car. We seen many people getting parking tickets if you park outside a space, so avoid doing this. You will get a space within 10 minutes walk, but the parking in Tenerife really was tricky to navigate, including at the apartment. Certain times of day there are plenty spaces, at others, no spaces none at all for some time. The host was very responsive and helpful, and very generous with a later check-out which was much appreciated and made the last day of our holiday enjoyable which goes a long way.

We loved this apartment. The only small difference would be replacing some kitchen utensils. Maybe some wine glasses have been smashed and not yet replaced. The host cannot fix the parking situation but this did add some stress. Also if you are arriving late, check ahead with the host regarding collecting keys out of hours, to see if the process suits you. This apartment was one of the best value apartments in the area in my opinion and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Many thanks for a great stay.

Excellent location close to beautiful black sand beach, nice view points and restaurants. Parking just in front of the apartment is huge and free, so never had a problem with the car. Very fast Wi-Fi. Especially enjoyed breakfasts on the balcony with an ocean view. Very friendly and helpful owner Erika:)

Erica met us promptly at the apartments and provided details about the facilities and even showed us where the lifts were, and which floor the pool and exits were. Also provided some recommendations for local Restuarants & supermarkets. The accommodation was home from home. Everything you need was available. The balcony was large and we ate outside most of the time. The bathroom was good with a walkin shower. Even had a washing machine and airer. Loved the area, nice and peaceful with plenty of beaches to choose from. Facing the sea, walk to the left to get to the next bay 20 mins which is a bit busier with bars & Restaurants. Or to the right with takes you to la Caleta 20 mins much quieter area with lovely quaint restuarants. The walk back from the beach to the apt is steep, however you can enter the apartments through the poolgate and get the lift up to the apartment. The security in and around the apt is also good. There are two pools, one heated which was a lovely surprise. Lots of good quality sunbeds and parasols too.
