Hotel Otakar

I had to make the reservation just a week before because I was invited to attend a conference. There weren't many room options available due to the short notice, so I chose a room with two single beds. On the day I arrived, unfortunately, the window in this 4th-floor room opened very little, and as the temperature was very high, I could hardly sleep because of the heat (they provide a floor fan in the rooms). The next morning, I went to the staff and explained the situation to see if it would be possible to open the window in another way, as I had not been able to sleep the night before. I was informed that, unfortunately, this was not possible, but that they would give me another room so that my stay would be pleasant. I was instructed to return to my room, collect my belongings, and leave them in the closet, and that they would find another room for me while I attended my event. When I returned, I received the new key and there were two windows that stayed open, and I had a pleasant stay. The breakfast is good, with bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, sweet beans, pork and chicken ham, salami, salad, three types of fruit, sweet and savory breads, cream, milk, yogurt, and cereal, a machine for apple and orange juice and water, and another machine for coffee and tea. The rooms sometimes have a strong smell, but I believe it is due to the carpets, nothing that bothers you. The hotel has an elevator, 24-hour reception, and transportation stops in front. There are several restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, bars, and even a market very close by.

Very nice hotel with good staff and breakfast. Stayed for two night with family. Team stop just opposite hotel.

Czech people seem very friendly and polite in general and so is the staff of this hotel. We got a free upgrade too and had a wonderful experience staying here. Only their breakfast is lackluster with not anything above the standard eggs and sausage, bread etc.

In our recent 15 days trip to Europe. We had booked 7 hotels through Agoda. The last hotel Otakar in Prague we had booked a triple bed with breakfast and AIR CONDITIONING which was clearly mentioned in Agoda booking. We were surprised to see NO air conditioning in the room. The receptionist said that all the rooms in the hotel has no air-conditioning. Agoda has provided us the wrong information. If we knew we would have booked other hotel . It was so hot in the room we couldn't sleep in the night. The Breakfast was good and people in the hotel were very helpful. Agoda please change.
