Fabula - Studio & Private Rooms

The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a big wardrobe. The communal area has a fridge and washer/dryer you can access. The bathroom was nice and modern, albeit slightly inconvenient as it is not attached to the room (as advertised). The apartment is in a nice neighbourhood and while a bit of a distance from the town centre, was quite accessible by bus or a longer walk (34-40 mins).

The communal washer/dryer is a great feature, but please note that washing liquid/powder is not supplied. This is pretty inconvenient for short term guests- we bought some at our own expense and left the remainder for future guests to use, as we have no need for this on the remainder of our holiday. The coffee pod machine appeared to be in need of a clean, the coffee we made was undrinkable. I would also suggest giving guests two sets of keys. It was pretty inconvenient as a couple as you need a key to unlock/lock the external bathroom, which meant the other person couldn't come and go from the bedroom at the same time.

My daughter's room rental included a private bathroom and balcony, there was also a shared kitchen in the building. Perfect for her holiday needs during her short stay. It was great to have the balcony during the hot weather, a nice breakfast spot to watch city life. The room was well located for bus stops with frequent buses into Bologna. Quick walk to the supermarket which was very convenient for buying self catering food. Luca the host was lovely, super responsive and helpful. Luca was also very thoughtful in terms of the tourist information sent out just before the trip (how to access the accomodation, it's location, local cafes & restaurants, map, taxi telephone numbers, tourist tax info etc). We were really impressed with this. 🙂

Only a small issue but the kitchen towel for drying dishes in the shared kitchen disappeared after day one. So my daughter had to leave dishes/cutlery to dry on the side. Air con in the room was perhaps not as powerful as it could have been, but the weather was very warm during the trip.

Great location with lots of bus options to go to centre of Bologna. Luca was an extremely good communicator and so helpful and welcoming. Really good set up with kitchen and washing machine. Definitely needed the air conditioning.

Everything was mostly okay. Except

When I put a filter for free parking, this accommodation should not even show up. Even though it says street parking, one assumes that you don't have to go multiple blocks away. I ended up having to pay for parking the first day because I didn't have time to drive around looking for free parking. The second day my side mirror was broken from the car. This is not the only reason that I gave the rating that I did. I was going back and forth between 5,6, or 7 before I found my mirror broken this morning.
