Betterview has everything and more

The betterview way exceeded our expectations , from the moment we arrived and were met warmly by Jerome this place is a slice of heaven , breathtaking. The care that Jerome has for his boutique hotel can be felt throughout the property, the small touches of detail ensure that you don’t want for anything, the bungalows are so well equipped, large and authentic with amazing views. Staying in Koh Yao Yai is the ideal location for trips and also 30 minute speedboat to krabi, Phuket the ferry service is excellent we hired a scooter from Jerome and visited elephant beach well worth the trip. After a days island hopping the betterview is the perfect place to come back to to unwind in tranquil beauty we will definitely return. 100% recommend

Fantastic value for money, great accommodation and great host and staff

The host Jerome was very welcoming and helpful with where to go on the island as we rented a motorcycle from him, once checked in our room was lovely and the pictures don’t do it justice, all staff very friendly and Jerome organised our ongoing trip to the next island with a taxi, boat taxi all on time even when we landed in Koh Phuket a taxi was waiting to take us to the airport!

A great place to stay

From the very start the host was welcoming and shared a lot of information. The hotel was peaceful and quiet Whitchurch made it very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. Bathroom was huge with a separate bath and shower. Food in the restaurant was tasty and well presented.

Great place to explore yao yai

The property is very well maintained, has a very nice view, good pool. The staff is helpful and Jerome , the owner is always at hand to help and help you get the maximum from your stay. The rooms were well anointed and we were very happy with our stay

What a wonderful experience it was!

I loved every bit of the place! The surrounding was calm and peaceful. Our room was beyond amazing, clean and comfy. Mr Jerome and his staff were very hospitable, making sure my friend and I were comfortable throughout the stay. Thank you Mr Jerome and fellow staff members for the awesome experience.

Better then ever expected

A wonderful place to relax, luxurious bungalows with jacuzzis, comfortable beds and great sea views. On place, there's a good restaurant where you can order meal to bugalow for eating it on your own terrace. The service is very friendly and attentive. The owner, Jerome, has created a unique place here and puts his heart and soul into it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Brilliant stay in a gorgeous bungalow in the most stunning of locations.

Beautiful bungalow in gorgeous grounds, with a lovely pool, restaurant and the ocean on your doorstep. Jerome and all the staff were amazing. Super comfy bed and pillows. The jacuzzi was fabulous!

The most amazing stay on a beautiful island! Would highly highly recommend

We had the most amazing time staying at Better view, we extended for a night but wish we could have stayed for much longer. The room was incredible with so much attention, we loved the shower and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was delicious and we ate at the restaurant a few times which we would highly recommend it was amazing and better prices than other places around the island. We organised a boat trip through the hotel which was the standout to our trip!! We rented a bike as well which was easy and very useful. The attention to detail at this hotel is better than anywhere we have stayed and has been our favourite place on our trip! A very special thank you to Jerome, Dean, and every single staff member who made our stay so memorable (we didn’t get everyone’s names but a huge thank you to everyone) We would love to come back :))

Simply the best of Koh Yao Yai

This is a gem on Koh Yao Yai. The owner did an amazing job in reconstructing the resort into a paradise. The pool with the views are incredible. Rooms are beautiful, big and well thought in every detail. It is only 5-10 minutes to the pier where the boat transfers are going/arriving, which is another benefit. For this price, it is impossible to find better on the island.

The best hotel experience in our 3 weeks trip

Perfect stay! The owner Jerome makes sure that every guest is taken care off and has the best experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. I really appreciated the option for the french breakfast with real butter! And the view can't be beat - whether that's from the restaurant, the room or the pool. A real gem and I will recommend this place to all those who come to the island :)

Two nights in paradise

The Better View Koh Yao Yai is fantastic place to stay. Absolutely beautiful and just the right place to enjoy in peace from the view, pool and refreshments. Soon they will open their restaurant too and then the place is pole ten!

Best view, top relax.

Me and a friend of mine, we booked two bungalows at the beginning of April and stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful place. The resort includes a maximum of 12 bungalows (if I counted correctly), a very quiet environment aimed at total relaxation. The rooms are very well furnished with every comfort, and the hot tub with a view is a significant plus. The swimming pool in the centre of the resort is comfortable and beautiful, and includes many other small entertainment options for those who go with their families, such as a small football pitch, archery, rackets and an area for playing badminton. Friendly, kind and always available staff to help you with any of your needs. But in my opinion one of the strong points of the resort is the owner himself...an exquisite person, very kind and easy-going. He organized a beautiful day tour for us among some of the major islands nearby with a private boat... totally worthed. You can also rent motorbikes directly at the reception, all without any difficulty or problems. I highly recommend this place for couples and young families who want to explore an island dedicated to relaxation. I will definitely come back here in the future, with my family or other friends.

beautiful little resort

The room was unbelievable so comfortable and spacious with a stunning view! The bathroom came with a hot tub which was very cool. The owner was super lovely and made us feel so welcome on arrival as well as the staff. if you are travelling to Koh Yao Yai this is the place to stay it was the best place we have ever stayed in.

Basically fine

The pool was really good, with a beautiful view out to the sea (across the grounds of the hotel). The room also had a nice view, with a lovely balcony which we used a lot. The hotel and room were nice and clean. The size of the room was superb.

The shower and sink in our room were not working well when we arrived, and whilst the staff were able to fix the tap (so it actually had a flow of water), the fix on the shower head lasted one day, rendering it useless as a shower (spurting out the sides of the shower head). In addition, the water flowed out of the shower under the door, and into the bathroom. Staff disappeared at about 3pm every day which is fine just bizarre. Overall, felt a bit expensive for a resort that is clearly being left to age.

I totally loved this place. Accommodation fantastic,,,,sea view was awesome,,,breakfast great....Onn the owner was so helpful ,pick up from airport and organised ferry and taxi to resort and made life so much easier..organised a scooter to tour the island (recommended)..would definitely stay again..beach is not really suitable for swimming (i did not put this in dislike category because i was aware or this before i booked and the place doesn't deserve a sad face emoji) and there are plenty of beaches on the island to visit...thanks Onn hopefully see you again in the future

Must visit if you like tourist free peace and quiet!

This was the most beautiful, peaceful location and our little bungalow was stunning! It was a perfect hotel for a couple - romantic, private beachfront villa surrounded by nature. Our room was a great size, nicely decorated, in good condition, we had a huge bathroom area with jacuzzi bath, a lovely private terrace surrounded by palm trees and a couple of neighbouring bungalows and a communal pool. We loved everything about our stay at Better View. There was a lovely local restaurant just across the road which serves great Thai food and we were able to hire a moped from the hotel to get around the island. Couldn't recommend enough!

If you are just looking for a good base on Koh Yao Yai, this is the place but I would almost say it is more like an Air BnB, I wouldn't really describe Better View as a hotel, more a small collection of stunning little bungalows on the coast with a pool and very helpful, friendly staff. Aside from the pool there wasn't really a communal area (ie. Bar/restaurant) but that didn't bother us at all.

The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, extremely comfy beds and very clean! Our best night sleep in Thailand! Room had a walk in shower, dressing room and jacuzzi bath. The staff were all so friendly and helped us book transfers to and from. Pool was very lovely and the place looked stunning at night with all the lovely lights. Right on the beach!

everything was amazing, bungalows beautiful with lovely attention to detail, dressing gowns, slippers, cream, mosquito spray and oil burner to ward off mosquitoes. beds are comfortable, jacuzzi bath overlooking the sea 😍 On the manager was fantastic and happy to arrange trips and advise on things to do., nothing was ever a problem. Very quiet resort perfect for what we wanted. short walk to shop and local bars and restaurants.

De retour dans ce petit paradis après huit années, toujours aussi bien et même du mieux ! Service à la piscine, horaires bar et restaurant plus qu’étendus, room service… Personnel sympathique, Jérôme le gérant très présent et de bons conseils. Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir dès que possible. Ko yao yai est définitivement la perle du sud de la Thaïlande pour qui recherche la tranquillité

Dans le futur, nous adorerions un troisième choix pour le petit déjeuner, un bol de fruit/yoghurt/muesli, avec un trait de miel sur le dessus 😋😋😋
