Village gives you a real nature experience with the villas in the trees. The villa we had was big with 2 sinks and even an outside extra shower and tub. Had a small issue with the fence that management resolved quickly. Ample food options with their 2 restaurants... breakfast was very decent. Had their seafood buffet and it was well worthwhile. All staff pleasant and helpful. Beautiful water view and decent beach area. We didn't use the pool but it had a nice wrap around. Overall we liked Village a lot and would recommend it to anyone.

Here you can find free bycycles and kayaks, two pools, great view from them, complimentary drinks and snacks, convenient and big rooms with great views, however restaurants in the complex are very expensive and you don't like local food you will be disappointed.

We booked the Jungle View Villa and were disappointed. The property is on a rubber plantation and the sound of the cicadas is incredibly pervasive. Rather than the normal hum, it’s like a constant alarm ringing. The staff was friendly, but were not as outwardly helpful and welcoming as other stays we had on this trip. The room was the worst part. The villas are very spacious and fairly well appointed. However, there was a very strong smell of mould, as if the suite had been flooded and not properly aired out. It did not improve in the 3 days we stayed. The shower wall was covered in mould and the toilet room reeked. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The towels smelled clean, but had clearly been in use for several years. There was daily housekeeping, but it was pretty clear they did not mop or clean any surfaces.
The rest of the facilities were lovely- the pool space was exceptional and the restaurants were attractive. The breakfast buffet was not very well stocked and coffee was served via large self-serve machines which was disappointing. The location is very remote, which can be nice if that’s what you’re seeking, but there were no activities within walking distance.
My guess is that most of the positive reviews are from people who booked the beach villas as they are spared the cicada cacophony and possibly these villas are newer and less gross!
