⭐ 1-Star Review — Please Think Twice Before Booking A frightening and completely unacceptable experience. I strongly discourage anyone from considering this property, especially during the rainy season. In my opinion, calling this place a “resort” is extremely misleading. We contacted the property when we were about three miles away because the road was badly flooded and we were afraid our small car could not safely cross. Despite clearly explaining the situation, the resort representative assured us it was okay to drive through the water. We followed that advice—and our car stalled in the flood. After repeated calls, someone from the resort finally tried to reach us on a scooter. He himself could not cross the flooded area and admitted it was impossible. Local residents also warned us not to continue because the road toward the property was muddy and vehicles could get stuck. Another family member attempted to reach the property separately. His rental car lost its license plate while crossing the floodwater, and he eventually turned back because his tires were beginning to get stuck in the mud. We were stranded for hours, from approximately 2 PM until almost 6 PM, trying unsuccessfully to find an SUV, Uber, or other transportation. Two members of our family are diabetic and had gone without lunch. After this ordeal, we had no choice but to abandon our reservation, pay for another hotel, and finally reached a room around 8 PM, exhausted and shaken. I understand that no hotel can control rain or flooding. What is unacceptable is encouraging guests to drive through floodwater when the safety of the route has not been verified—especially when the resort’s own representative subsequently could not cross it. We never reached the property, never checked in, and never used the room or any facilities. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise travelers to think very carefully before booking this property. Accessibility, road conditions, emergency assistance, and how guests are advised during severe weather should all be considered before this property is promoted as a “resort.” For us, this was not a resort experience—period. It was one of the most frightening and stressful travel experiences our family has encountered. We are requesting a complete refund.

The stay is really good. The view is really great. Its a small property . Hence it's really peaceful and silent. The food is really really good. The price is not that high for the food. If you feel so, there are nearby places where you can get really yummy food. The way to the place is messed up. But it's public road and still on construction. Also the place needs a bit more renovation

I recently stayed at The Lake by Maat. The stay was overall good and the ambience of the property is really nice and peaceful. The lake view and atmosphere are relaxing, which is a positive point. However, there are a few things that need improvement. The property is about 1.5 km from the main road, and the road leading to the property is in very bad condition. It is almost like an off-road path and completely damaged, which makes it difficult to reach the property. Also, the towels provided were yellow instead of clean white and stain and face towels were not provided. Another issue was the wash basin tap in the bathroom was loose and shaking when opened, which should be fixed for proper maintenance. Overall, the ambience is good, but better road access and improved room maintenance would make the stay much better. ⭐

Very bad experience the room which is shown in Agoda is not the same. In agoda pics shown were very good but when reached location it was very old, disgusting. They gave us different room which is of very old and not clean. It is not worth of 4k for the room which we stayed.They don't even notify the customers.Never ever book this hotel.
