The property location and view are magnificent.

Most kitchen cupboards defective , stoves grimy and some bathrooms had damp and mold. Old blinds. Needs curtains with sun block. Old defective appliances and kitchen pots and pans were immediately replaced. To the owners credit she took immediate steps to address our issues but all the cleaners and workers attendances and replacements happened while we were in the property. She agreed to refund 50% of the charge which was fair but actually shouldn’t have charged at all.

The views were unmatched. It was a relatively great location and the house was perfect for a group of 6-10. The amenities worked for the sit-down dinners we've had.

The house isn't as well maintained as one would expect given the amount we paid for the home. While having the staff there to clean everyday was helpful with fresh towels and sheets, they ruined several pieces of clothing and the owner stopped communicating eventually even though initially they were very responsive. Additionally, the winds are very high at night. If you're unable to sleep due to the noise, I would recommend a different part of town.

The location is lovely

There were many things that were not up to standard. I had hired a chef to cook for us. We were not able to use either the gas stove or the electric stove. Neither of these worked. We had to make use of the outside braai We were not able to use the coffee machine either. There was nobody that we could call either to assist us with this. There were also not enough glasses for our group.

A perfect view and a great location. However the garden appears to still be under construction, it was littered with random items and did not look complete. Beautiful home finishes and decor, top range kitchen equipment and appliances (although no pods were provided for the Nespresso machine and it appeared to have not been cleaned for quite some time).

We have tried to reach the host numerous times to enquire about the home and to request an invoice. The host only contacted us the afternoon before our stay&we are still waiting for the invoice. We struggled to open the front door as we were not given proper instructions on how the digital lock operates. After numerous tries, knocking on doors in an attempt of getting hold of the housekeeper's attention to assist us, he didn't appear to know how the front digital lock system operated. The staff was not friendly & started cleaning at 9am, stripping the linen, lounging on the deck furniture, and waiting for us to leave at 11am. The ensuite bathroom shower in the middle bedroom does not have proper drainage and flooded within several minutes of use. The water flooded to such an extent that we had to mop it and the guest was unable to use the shower for the rest of her stay. The kitchen was not fully equipped, with only 3 champagne glasses available for 7 guests and no essential items such as a full paper towel roll, the remains of sugar left in a pot, no tea bags, no coffee (a Nespresso pod per guest or even powder coffee), perhaps some "nice-to-have" items such as oil, a box of long life milk. A coffee machine was advertised per the listing, with the price per night for the stay we were under the assumption that one serving of coffee would be provided per guest. The WIFI was unusable for the number of guests staying in the home, even after we each connected to a different network, some guests resorted to sitting in different areas of the home and others had to connect to their own mobile WIFI devices. The home guide booklet advised guests to take out their own garbage. We understand it is necessary to keep the home clean and tidy during and after our stay, I feel the rate per night for this accommodation should not require guests to remove their own garbage. Full Winter bedding was only provided, not suitable for warm nights.
