Villa Steno is a highly sought after two bedroom villa with stunning views across the Ionian see over to mainland Greece. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite shower rooms. The villa is wonderfully furnished with an open plan living/dining/fully fitted kitchen area with tv (please note this room does not have air conditioning). Outside there is a dining terrace with barbecue, perfect for alfresco dining and a good sized private pool (8m by 4 m) which offers spectacular views. It is situated within 10 minutes drive of the villages of Loggos, Lakka and Paxos with their shops and restaurants and there is a restaurant within 15 minutes walk (only in the high season - July and August). Paxos is accessed by ferry/ hydrofoil about an hour away from Corfu and is the perfect island to explore, being only 7km long. Boats can be hired from each of the ports for those looking for a bit of adventure and day trips to the secluded island of Anti Paxos are accessible from Gaios. Smoking - not allowed. DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION Please note that our driving instructions are written with kilometre readings, it is therefore essential to reset your trip meter on the car before setting off. The kilometre readings given in these directions are only for guidance and may not be exact. Please take care, most Paxos roads are narrow with sharp turns, and minor roads can be steep and often unmade. The final road to the hotel is very steep and usual requires the use of first gear from the very bottom. Step 1 Leave the ‘New Port’ car park turning right and straight on, away from Gaios. Step 2 At 0.8km, bear left, there is a signpost for Lakka and Mogdantika (Bogdanatika), DO NOT take the right hand turn here. Step 3 Follow this uphill road, passing the cement works on your right at 1.5km, and shortly after a minimarket on your left. At 2.8km you need to turn right at the T junction. Step 4 You will pass La Familia Taverna on your right, (a red building)- take the next right hand turn up the hill. There is a small telephone cabin at the bottom of this hill. Step 5 Follow this road past the church on your right, driving slowly as here 20m after the church there is a small steep uphill lane on the right. Take this turn and after approx 20m you will see the Purple Apricot Hotel on your left. Step 6 Pass by the Purple Apricot Hotel and follow the gravel track straight ahead for approximately 200m. You will see the Simpson Travel sign on the right. Turn here. The entrance gate will be open on your arrival and their villa keys and remote control will be in your front doors. When using the remote you have to press 1 for two seconds for the gate to open. Welcome!
