We absolutely loved our stay in this apartment. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The Metro was right outside the door and there was a taxi stand right around the corner. It had a great location to all the sights! The air conditioning was a nice perk as it was warmer in Paris than we expected. Our host was very helpful, accommodating, and very friendly! I highly recommend this apartment! You won't be disappointed!! We can't wait to stay here again and enjoy this beautiful city once more!

Could not have a better location! Great food, shopping and so close to Notre Dame and the Louvre. It was the perfect spot.

Sparking clean, modern kitchen appliances plus gorgeous parquet floors, comfortable beds, bath tub, elegant décor, view of Place de l’Hôtel de Ville from 4 windows … add up to one “swanky” apartment on rue de Rivoli which the owners call “Lafayette”. And, due to the fire at Notre Dame, you can see the Pantheon in addition to Our Lady. Monsieur Picq is most gracious; he visited us early on in our stay. I would give Monsieur and Madame Picq 10 stars for creating a beautiful environment and providing clear communications. Keep in mind that apartment-living ( especially on a busy street) has its challenges: --Sound travels upward; even though “Lafayette” is on the second floor, street noise seemed amplified. Both weekends during our stay in May 2019, there were events at Place de l’Hôtel de Ville (stage, music, vendors, vibrant crowds). Advice: keep the double-paned windows closed, use the air-conditioning for air circulation. --The tenant who lives in the apartment above ours sometimes forgot about the French’s “good neighbor” rules. We felt the vibrations from her street shoes on parquet floor; other times she was probably bare feet, however, thuds from her brisk and forceful steps at nighttime were jarring. --There is a “communicating door” between the sleeping alcove in Lafayette and “Printemps” (the adjacent apartment); since the wall was not solid wall, we could hear loud conversations. The advantage of having the “communicating door” would be if your family or friends rented both apartments; and, there is a “communicating door” between Printemps and Louvre (a third apartment) so that you could rent all 3 apartments to accommodate up to 10 people. Aah Paris! Step out of the building and we had all we would need – across the street are Tourism Office and post office inside Hôtel de Ville; go right from apartment building is Jeff de Bruges chocolate shop; go left is Bazaar de l'Hotel de Ville, known simply as BHV (sumptuous department store); go north on either perpendicular street (rue du Temple; rue du Renard) you’re in le Marais! The Monop' at 6 Boulevard de Sébastopol has a modest-looking entrance, go in, you’ll find all your grocery needs. Head north, less than a 10-minute walk, you’re at Stravinsky Fountain and Centre Pompidou! Head south, cross the Seine via Pont d'Arcole, you are on Île de la Cité. Yes! 5 stars for “Lafayette” and 10 stars for Monsieur and Madame Picq!! Merci beaucoup! Sincerely, Madame LeYung California USA
