About this apartment rental
Ocean House #1501 is a east corner gulf-front 3 bedroom 3 bath condominium located on the 5th floor in building I overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1300 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer. There are 3 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or a stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side master has an en suite bathroom with a custom tiled shower and the middle bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower.
King, Queen, Queen, Queen, NO Sofa sleeper. Sleeps 8.
Ocean House I and II are 9-story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Ocean House has a large seasonal zero-entry outdoor pool and a small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. Minimum age required: 23
Parking passes are purchased on-site at Ocean House at the guard house or office located in building I - CASH ONLY. There is a maximum of 2 parking passes per unit and the cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.
*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. Not a bad experience overall except for feeling like the staff had and unlimited supply of customers, no warmth shown towards guest and everything had to be within their “rules” (of which it seemed like 1000). The check-in and out process was just as rigid and cold. I could give MULTIPLE specific examples of how that process was that way, but I don’t really care as I won’t be back, and I’m sure the place will be booked regardless.

This was a pleasant stay considering. The unit was showing wear with several issues. Larger coffee cups to hold the Keurig smallest cup would be appreciated and are needed. Every time we selected the smallest setting on the Keurig the coffee ran over the cup and onto the counter. Very frustrating. Next, the cooking utensils were old and didn't appear clean after washing. It rained several days during our visit, the tiles on the patio and throughout the apartment were very slick. Making rugs available in the bathrooms and door enters would have be helpful. Handicap parking was an issue during our stay. There were two available by the resident garage we couldn't use. Also, the speed bump located in the resident garage were a hazard. On bump was located by the walkway to the building from the garage. My 88 year old mother tripped over the speed bump and fell which resulted in a head, knee and hand injury. We spent a morning in the Emergency Room for MRIs and x-rays. I'm not sure why speed bumps are needed in resident parking since vacation renters are not allowed to use the garage. Not using the garage area causes overcrowding in the parking lot. Which seems wasteful.The new blue walkway to the beach was great. Also noticed the upgrade of the outdoor shower. Another good addition. The lounge chairs and furniture was older and needed a good cleaning.Ocean House is located well in Gulf Shore with plenty of restaurants and activities. We would like to return, but hope the garage hazard and pool furniture is addressed. Also, a refresh of the unit. Large coffee cups, cooking utensils, rugs, etc.
