Our modern log-cabin property boasts 2 adjacent homes on 22 acres of beautiful pastures and live oak forests, making it the perfect location for large family events, weddings or receptions or weekend getaways. Also close to the famous Staccato Ranch.
Relax and unwind at multiple viewing points across the expansive decks, patios, and viewing porch overlooking the western ridge. Take a refreshing dip in our private pool while watching the sun set over the Hill Country. Enjoy vegetables and herbs from our three-season garden for that perfect meal, and keep an eye out for butterfly and hummingbird sightings. Or sit back while the cows, calves, and goats graze the pastures and private pen.

THE PROPERTY --
Twin Acres Ranch features a main home and a secondary cabin separated by a breezeway. Very flexible for groups that want more privacy or a safe place to separate the kids and adults.
Primary Home: fully furnished modern home. Stunning log cabin feel with vaulted ceilings and dramatic open concept for a unique living experience. And don't miss the sunset - dramatic western view across sweeping live oaks. 3 bedrooms: Ensuite master with King Bed; and 2 additional bedrooms with 2 king beds and jack and jill bathroom.
KITCHEN: Fully equipped, gas range, stainless steel appliances, fridge w/ ice maker, drip coffee makers, pantry, breakfast bar and island. We provide everything you need for the kitchen! Dishware, flatware, pots/pans, wine glasses, fancy spices, etc.
Cabin: Enjoy privacy from the group. Furnished 2nd home has kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and 1 full size bath. King and queen beds, plus 3 beds in the sleeping loft (2 full, 1 Twin Bed) in the upper rooms. Its a great loft for kids.
OUTDOOR LIVING: Large expansive and private property, gas grill, breezeway, basketball court, hammock, covered porch, porch swing, private pool, fire pits, scenic overlooks, parking for up to 10 autos. Trail head that leads to scenic pathways. RV parking available on request. Very popular area for road bikers and cattle gazing.

My family and I were looking for a peaceful getaway from the city, and this stay was exactly what we needed. The ranch is beautiful, and we especially enjoyed spending time by the pool.

The pool was sparking clean and was enjoyed throughout the days. Near sunset it was perfect with the beautiful view through the trees.

While we overcame all issues, it was more of a challenge than we would want to experience at a long-weekend rental where time and relaxation are of importance.
Pros:
The property is beautiful. It is wonderful house and the land around is serene with nature - the cicadas were out and their sounds were welcome. Dogs loved it. The pool was very comfortable and we had a good time with our ATV in the pasture.
Cons:
The housekeeping seemed to be lacking prior to our stay:
1. There were no towels or hand soap in any of the bathrooms (all dispensers were empty) - a single full dispenser was in the pantry and the kitchen sink had one of it's own.
2. The towels in the house are pretty warn...and they were put up wet (and were still wet) in the shelves of the bedroom they were stored in.
3. The dishes in the property were not cleaned.
4. The refrigerators and freezers were left with a large number of condiments and food - lunchables, orange juice, white claws, ice cream, fried chicken. We had multiple coolers of our own to load so it was quite annoying to unload their food items and then load ours and put their in our coolers / back of the refrigerators. Never have experienced that at a rental before to this extent.
5. We never did get the hot water to work well in the jack and Jill bathroom.
We also had issues with the main house code (it didn't work) and the fire / smoke alarm going off. AC repair came twice during the stay to work on AC (not at our request).
