Excellent accommodation, great location and value for money

The hosts were very responsive and let us check in a bit earlier. For us the location was excellent, the apartment had all the necessary amenities, it was cozy and warm (given the extreme temperatures outside). Easy to find and easy to get they keys and enter. Great value for money. For this location you definitely need to rent a car, otherwise you won't reach it easily. Overall it is better to rent a car so you can easily move around.

If you have noisy neighbors you will hear it, we had trouble sleeping and during the day you can hear noise too. Make sure to bring own plug adapter with you because there is none at the apartment. Cleanliness in the kitchen could be better - lamp above dining table was very dusty and the dish drying cabinet wasn't too clean either.

Great winter stay at a cozy secluded cabin

The check-in with the key box was smooth and the information provided by our host was sufficient for our check-in and the basics of the house. The kitchen and cookware provided was great and perfect to cook food for a couple. The smart TV in the living room is a great addition to stay cozy at home and the Christmas lights and tree in the shed provided that additional nice atmosphere. Don't forget to buy your own wood to light the fire in the fireplace as well! The sauna is nice and spacious and provides a good view through the windows. The washing machine and drying cabinet made sure our gear was always clean, and the host or previous guests even left some detergent for us to use so we didn't have to buy a whole tub from the supermarket. We were never cold in the cabin even with the floor heating on a low setting and it being -30°C outside. The upstairs beds were comfortable and the regular blanket kept you warm enough at night. Free private parking outside is great for the location being a few kilometers from the city centre of Saariselkä and with some luck on your side the location is perfect for Aurora viewing from outside the cabin.

The cabin is a bit small for more than 3 people (couple + child) and the bedrooms only have curtains to close off the room. There is not that much storage space upstairs for clothing/camera gear and the shower area is a bit on the small side.

We would love to come back!

Lovely property - very cosy. Great location and had everything we needed and more.

Not so much we didn’t like but it would have been nice if we wood was provided for the fireplace and if there was a firepit outdoors to toast marshmallows or to warm up while looking for the northern lights.

Could not have asked for anything better for our couple winter wonderland vacation!

It was an AMAZING price comparing it with any other places in saariselkä, also a great location if you have your own car. It is extremely peaceful. This was absolutely amazing and even though some small things could be improved, you won’t find a better place than this. Absolutely amazing for a cozy couple vacation! (Not sure how i would feel about being there with more than 2 people, there is beds but i think the common area would be too cramped) We loved having OUR OWN! sauna, fireplace, and huge outdoor area with no other people around.

The blankets were very thin, especially for it being lapland in winter! And we weren’t allowed to put the heating higher so one of those things needs to change. Overall, it seemed like it had been cleaned but could have been cleaned better.

Kaikinpuolin viihtyisä majoitus

Tuttu majoitus, kun samassa huoneistossa tullut oltua aiemminkin ja miksikös ei, sillä onhan tämä todella viihtyisä, hyvällä ja rauhallisella sijainnilla eikä tosiaankaan hinnalla pilattu. Koiran kanssa mahtavat ulkoilupuitteet suoraan ovelta ulos astuessa, koira sekä omistaja myös nautti helteillä ilmalämpöpumpun tuomasta viileydestä. Ehdoton plussa siis, että on lemmikkiystävällinen majoitus. Hyvin varusteltu (mm. keittiövälineet), sauna tarjosi myös hyvät löylyt. Omistaja myös ystävällinen, pääsin majoittumaan myös hyvin paljon aiemmin ennen ns. virallista kirjautumisaikaa, sillä majoituksessa ei tuolloin edellisenä päivänä ollut aiempia majoittujia.

Paukkulasta paukkuja hiihtoladulle!

Murtomaahiihtäjälle sijainti on juuri sopiva, sillä eri hiihtoreitit ovat kaikki lähellä. Pyykkikone on hikoilijan ystävä, samoin sauna.

Jos jotakin sellaista on, niin se pitää käydä itse kokemassa, en ole varsinainen kriitikko.

Muy bien equipado, acogedor y bien situado para ver auroras

La localización es buenísima, vimos auroras boreales desde la ventana del salón. La casa (especialmente la cocina) estaba completamente equipada. Tiene sauna privada. Incluye sábanas y toallas. Todo estaba en perfecto estado. El dueño muy amable y resolutivo. Habríamos estado más tiempo ahí con muchísimo gusto.
