We had an amazing stay and created so many beautiful memories in Saariselkä. The accommodation was wonderful, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was exceptional — very kind, responsive, and helpful. They answered all our questions and even helped us plan activities such as husky sledding, snowmobile rides, and a spa visit, which made our trip truly special. Check-in was super easy, and the customer service throughout our stay was outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Saariselkä!

Amazing stay near Sääriselka

Everything. The apartment is as advertised and even better. Really easy to reach from the main road but at the same time it opens up into woods where you can walk and pick berries (if you go in summer of course;)). Really well furnished and great communication with the host.surely I will come back.

The location is bit outside Saariselka. If you have a car then easy to reach here or the taxi services do work. Basic cooking supplies were in the kitchen and house was tidy.

Cozy and romantic apartment with fireplace and sauna! We would love to come back.

The apartment was very cozy and romantic with its beautiful view from the sofa and it’s fireplace! We just loved it. The sauna worked well but you have to get the hang of it a little bit. The location is like 6 mins from the city by car but that’s what we liked about it! The owner sent us instruction videos on how things work which was really nice. The kitchen was very well equipped.

The perfect place to stay in Saariselka with very reasonable prices. Sauna inside the bathroom.

We received an email on the day of arrival with the code for the key box and instructional YouTube videos about operating the sauna, fireplace etc.,. The 2 story cabins are located in a private, secluded area with very little light pollution. The place is very clean with a nice sitting area with a large window, fireplace and fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, oven and a microwave. The downstairs sofa can be pulled out as a bed and there is a double bed upstairs along with two single beds (a family of 5-6 can sleep if needed). Two bath towels have been provided for our stay along with two small towels for the sauna and bed sheets/blankets for all 4 mattresses. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the needed utensils and some left over oil, salt etc., We drove in a rental car and parked in front of the cabin (grocery store and several restaurants are within 5 miles). There is a beautiful Saariselka ski & sport resort close-by with very little congestion and very reasonable ski lift ticket prices ($45 per day) and equipment rentals ($45 per day). Sauna ( 3 people can sit or two can lie down) took around 45 minutes to heat up and worked perfectly to enjoy after our skiing, dog sledding and snowmobile trips. Bathroom shower area is a little tight with open concept but shower has powerful water flow. The in-house Finnish sauna along with the heated bathroom floor are great luxury features considering the low price of the rental unit. The upstairs roof is angled and sleeping under it needs some getting used to, but has plenty of power outlets to plug-in all your electronics (The outlets have deep sockets and visitors should bring matching European type C plugs). There is a large screen TV in the sitting area, which we did not use. WiFi is very fast with around 100 mbp/s speeds. We did not see Northern lights during our trip due to cloudy weather, but this would be a great location for it without the need to drive far or take expensive tours.

Nothing. I wish we could stay here for a month since the region is breathtakingly beautiful and a true winter wonderland. The sunsets in Saariselka are just unbelievable.

Superb location. The cottage is very well equipped.

The place could be more clean. I complained about having found dogs hair everywhere and all I got as an answer was "I will let the cleaner know". I ended up cleaning the place by myself. There were no instructions for the rubbish, no recycling.

Very comfortable, quiet and nature stay.

We really liked the location. Just 5 car minutes away from Saariselka and the apartment has beautiful nature views. Kitchen js fully equipped with everything you need. Wifi works really well. SmartTV with Netflix is present. So is a cosy fireplace. Sauna in the bathroom and comfortable shower.

We would have liked a welcome letter or some sort of information leaflet with the basic info about sauna, WiFi and trash. The fireplace is very cosy, but also a bit smelly. Some kind of air neutralisation would be handy sometimes.

Amazing place to stay! The place is a little bit far from the city so you need a car to move around. The apartment is great, clean and well organised. The private sauna is a plus for the price that you pay! The nature around is relaxing and help to enjoy even more

Very cozy, clean, warm and we'll equipped. Very nice surroundings with close distance to skiing center. Immediate access to nature around. Very friendly and helpful owners. Notified us also about northern lights and guided us to nice spot right next to accomodation to observe.
