Lovely little home

Good location, excellent facilities, super helpful owner.

My partner and I wanted a walk in the lakes and a night away so booked this cottage last minute. The location was great as it wasn't hard to find and only a short drive from Bowness. Although close to the road it was set back so noise wasn't an issue. There is a lovely pub a 5 minute walk away serving good ale and lovely food. The property had all the facilities you could possibly need with fully equipped kitchen and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely book again.

Excellent location, property and Host

The host "Ann" is very kind. We had the whole property. Everything in perfect condition and order. She was kind enough to extend the checkout time. Cottage provides the vibe of a complete home. Access is also easy, location is perfect. A perfect quiet place to stay. We would have stayed longer if had further plans in Lake district. Would definitely recommend.

This cozy little cottage is well-equipped and situated in a picturesque location, just a short distance from Wildemere. It’s spotlessly clean, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing retreat.

Loved it.

The host was lovely and helpful. In a good situation for what we wanted to do that weekend.

Unfortunately the weather. Despite this we still got out even though we got very wet at times. But this is the weather for Cumbria,unpredictable. Would have liked a towel in the kitchen for when you used the downstairs toilet. But not a deal breaker and hoped to come back.

Relaxing ☺️

It’s located in absolutely beautiful spot in Lake District, from cottage you can travel to lots of tourist spots and mountains. Local village have lovely pubs ( food and drinks) and walks around . Cottage it self was equipped with all you need for family stay or any stay, definitely all you need from home to home holiday ☺️ Owner Ann was really friendly and was making sure everything is ok. Definitely will be returning as it’s ticked all our boxes for comfortable and relaxing time away.

Mixed feelings

Cottage was a great size, place had a washing machine and we were able to cook dinner Size of the property was perfect Location was good for Windermere and other lakes exploring Hearing was great and we kept warm

Bed is awful, we had springs in our ribs for 2 nights, the place needs a new mattress or a quality mattress topper Sleep was in short supply over the 2 nights You can’t move about without waking up your partner as the floors squeak so loud Shower leaks in the kitchen even if you follow the directions Roof leaks when it rains

The location was easy to get to all places we wanted to visit. The cottage had all we needed and was clean.

Excellent location for the nearby Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway.

The only issue was the somewhat dangerous exit from the property as it’s close to a corner on a busy main road. Otherwise as it’s well set back from the road there’s almost no sound problem. Ann was a perfect host. Thankyou. Sorry I didn’t see you as I departed.

Perfect Cosy Stay

This was an absolute perfect stay. Really lovely cottage with everything that we needed and cosy and warm. We wished we were staying for longer. Nice and quiet location. Plenty of space to park, right next to the cottage. The bed was so comfy and everything was fresh and clean and smelt lovely. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Everything I hoped it would be and great views.

The location was perfect. The cottage is beautiful, immaculately clean and so warm. Great bathroom and comfy bed. Ample facilities to cook, there is a full kitchen. Supplies provided for hot and cold drinks and bonus cookies :) Free WIFI and Netflix. Ann the host is so helpful and welcoming and easy to contact should you need anything. A big thank you.

I had a wonderful weekend, I only wish the weather was always as good in the Lake District

I had a short break away meeting up with family. Accomodation is ideal for 1/2 people, position of the property alongside the A590 is also ideal for all places in Southern Lakeland.

There are one or two low beams and being over 6ft I should have taken more notice of the notices!

Amazing stay

Everything was perfect for when we arrived. Everything was really clean and tidy and a few little extras to get us going were provided. All really nice.

Not really a dislike but the information for the electric heater in the lounge could have been a bit clearer. Otherwise everything was great.

Over delivered! I cant wait to stay again.

The cottage was well equipped, with wifi & smart tv. There were lots of nice little touches like emergency butter, milk and bottled water in the fridge. A very cosy and stress free stay.
