Tudor Cottage, Newby Bridge

The property is lovely and clean, there was tea, coffee, bottles of water, jam and milk for us which was brilliant as we didn’t think about any of that before the journey! Ann is a lovely host and we were able to check in 4 hours early for just £20 as well which was great. The cottage is in a perfect location for the lakes, with a lovely steam train station across the road and a nice walk to lakeside

Great quaint little property. In fact somewhere I could live! Beautiful picturesque place. The cottage has everything you need for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Beautiful garden, ample parking. It’s rarely available to book. So be quick

THE only draw back is if you blink you miss the turn into the drive way and that it runs out into the main road. That’s being picky. Everything else was absolutely amazing. We just need to be able to book it again when it’s free as it’s usually booked up (tells you a story about Tudor Cottage)

Location is perfect. We booked due to the close proximity of the LAP Windermere event. Ann also posted my charger which I accidentally left behind

Cottage was a great size, place had a washing machine and we were able to cook dinner Size of the property was perfect Location was good for Windermere and other lakes exploring Hearing was great and we kept warm

Bed is awful, we had springs in our ribs for 2 nights, the place needs a new mattress or a quality mattress topper Sleep was in short supply over the 2 nights You can’t move about without waking up your partner as the floors squeak so loud Shower leaks in the kitchen even if you follow the directions Roof leaks when it rains
