Absolutely delightful little cottage perfect for 2. Great location near to Windermere and surrounding fells. Plentiful parking. Private, cosy. Was lovely and warm, nicely appointed , cute electric fire with pretend flames that added to the ambience in an evening
The only ( very minor) problem we had was trying to work out the cooker job as there are no numbers on the disks so it took a while to work out which way to turn the knob to get it hot enough to boil a pan of water. Otherwise kitchen small but had everything we needed.

Cottage was a great size, place had a washing machine and we were able to cook dinner
Size of the property was perfect
Location was good for Windermere and other lakes exploring
Hearing was great and we kept warm
Bed is awful, we had springs in our ribs for 2 nights, the place needs a new mattress or a quality mattress topper
Sleep was in short supply over the 2 nights
You can’t move about without waking up your partner as the floors squeak so loud
Shower leaks in the kitchen even if you follow the directions
Roof leaks when it rains
