Hostel Thirty One

Economic and well furnished. For a few nights is perfect. Cleaner and quieter than expected. Would return.

No lockers in the rooms. My bed was not uncomfy but as it was inflated, as I would move also the bed under mine would at the slightest movement (I was above). I also did not understand why mine had a fence all around it, making going on and off the ladder a bit difficult.

The bathroom was not what I was expecting but it's just for a night.

The hostel was rated 'Disappointing' at the time I booked it, but for some reason I felt compelled to stay there anyway. It was well located between my incoming and outgoing train stations and very reasonably priced. When I arrived, I was a bit intimidated by the number of men who were hanging around outside and in the reception area and thought I would not stay there, but both the managers proved to be extremely accommodating and exceptional in their willingness to accommodate any request I made. Despite very average accommodations, they endeavored to keep the premises as clean as possible. The guests were very nice too.

The hostel was very average in its presentation, and not really up to today's standards - the very large female dormitory (3) did not have a lock, nor a window. The kitchen was not very well appointed, and didn't allow for any cooking, but I made do. And, sadly, I forgot my favorite black bra !!
