Staff was friendly and the location is convenient: near metro, bus stop and a large supermarket.

This hotel has a very good location, very close to Avenida de America interchange station and within walking distance to all the nice restaurants in Salamanca and Chamberi. however the room is very basic and did not have many amenties - not even an electric kettlebell, not to mention a nespresso machine or smth similar. unfortunately although i understand the care for the environment i would really like to receive a pair of slippers or some basic toiletries in the room when i book a 4 stars hotel. the room needs some refurbishment since the floors are very scratched, the sink was also scratched, the doors looked bad. but it was very clean. So if you need a room just to rest for the night in a good area of Madrid, it has a good price-quality ratio.

I had an extremely disappointing and unsafe experience at NH Madrid Príncipe de Vergara. During my stay, a large metal ceiling panel suddenly fell inside the room. It narrowly missed my friend, and the impact could have caused a serious injury. The ceiling was visibly vibrating, and there was loud mechanical noise coming from the pipes above. We immediately called reception, but instead of sending someone qualified to handle a structural or safety issue, they sent a room cleaner who could not communicate with us and was clearly not the right person to deal with this situation. She was not at fault, but it highlighted how poorly the hotel responded. We were then told to move to the room next door, which was just as noisy. Because the ceiling in the hallway was also shaking, we didn’t even feel safe walking out. We were effectively trapped in the room while the staff treated the situation with surprising indifference. When we finally took the risk to leave and went to reception, no one apologized. Instead, we were simply moved to another room on a different floor. The lack of responsibility, professionalism, and basic concern for guest safety was striking. I have stayed at other NH hotels many times and always had positive impressions, but this property completely failed to meet even basic standards. The experience was unacceptable, unsafe, and handled with a level of disregard that I find shocking. I cannot recommend this hotel.
