Perfect, quiet location

Super friendly staff who were always similing and offering to help. We had a nice quite room as requested. The property is ideally located - close to the beach, but not close enough to be affected by noise from resturants and bars. The town is a short walk away. The breakfast we delicious. The pool was nice and cool which is ideal to cool off in the heat.

Great stay if I ever come back to Lanta it will be my choice again

Beautiful garden, pool area and resort space. It’s like an oasis. Well maintained and clean. Nice and helpful staff. Great place to relax, close to the beach and beach bars and on the other side of the street the best restaurant in Lanta, two 7/11 in walking distance. Unusual breakfasts. Standard compared to other accommodations in Lanta much better

AC needs some clean up as smells. Bit too pricy but it was high season. However, the atmosphere compensates the price.

A beautiful resort with good facilities and extremely helpful staff

The bungalows were lovely and well appointed and the bed was very very comfortable - I slept so well. The swimming pool, although quite small and shallow, was perfect for keeping cool. The beach is just a few minutes' walk away and has all the bars, restaurants and massage spots you could ever need. The cats were very cute. The staff were amazing. The food at the restaurant and the cocktails at the bar were all lovely and breakfast was varied and tasty.

It's not the hotel's fault, but there were two families staying there at the same time and they let their children run riot all over the resort outside other people's bungalows, especially early in the morning and during breakfast and their screams drove us a bit crazy! The hotel seems geared up towards families with children with lots of toys etc, so if you are looking for a peaceful romantic stay or a honeymoon, this might not be the right place. The Wi-Fi passwords in the rooms were incorrect and when we did get the correct ones, there was no Wi-Fi connection and we had to sit by the pool to check our emails.

An exceptional stay — we loved every moment.

We absolutely loved our stay. The property was beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always friendly and genuinely attentive. The location was ideal — peaceful yet close to everything we needed. Every detail, from the room to the overall atmosphere, made our stay feel relaxing and memorable.

There was truly nothing we disliked. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Idyllic.

Rooms simple but with good A/C and a comfortable bed. Room was well cleaned and tidied every day. Great breakfast. Close to the beach, lovely gardens, nice pool, a convivial atmosphere and efficient and friendly management and staff - in particular, Wisini who can arrange anything for you. Restaurants etc. close by.

Uncomfortable patio chairs. Need taller reading lights by bed - I stacked books under mine.

Five nice relaxing days

Our second stay at The Mellow Mango. Owners Johann and \\Sabune and their staff are very welcoming and ensure that you have a great relaxing stay with them. Accommodation is great with a comfy bed. A good breakfast selection is provided. A reasonably quiet location less than 100 mtrs to the beach or the road with its restaurants and bars,

Our only comment is that there isn't much space to hang or store clothes, but the Mellow Mango is so nice that it's not a major issue for us.

Overpriced but ok experience

Wisinee was great, she was always happy and asked what we would like to have for breakfast

- breakfast juice was commercial juice instead of fresh fruits - after every bedsheet change we has to ask them to be changed again (because they were smelly because of the humidity) - before checking out, cleaning staff just entered our room to start cleaning even though we were still packing - the games and toys at the pool are old and mostly broken - price is too high for what you get

A few tweaks and it would be perfect

The garden and pool setting were stunning. Staff were amazing and super helpful. Location is fantastic a few steps to the beach. Cute cats! They made a big effort to put our group close to one another. Comfy beds.

Bad WiFi. No hot water in the bathroom sinks. Very little storage. Not a single hook or towel rack in the bathroom. Terrible pillows and cheap sheets.

Lovely quiet, clean resort

Lovely clean resort well located in Koh Lanta. Only 10 mins transfer from Saladan pier. We stayed 2 nights at the Mellow Mango and it was such a nice place to relax before continuing on our travels. We were the only guests staying in the hotel as it was low season, yet it was still being well looked after by staff and they were still attentive to any of our needs. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was fantastic. The pool was very clean and large, and the beach is easily accessible through a gate to the neighbouring resort. Many good restaurants and bars nearby - although a motorbike/scooter would be recommended to reach the rest of the island. They arranged our onward transfer for us which was well priced and seamless with no confusion.

Fabulous family holiday, delicious breakfast :)

We spent 6 nights at the Mellow Mango with our kids aged 8 & 9 and just had the nicest time. The property itself is lovely and you can see it’s a real passion project for the owners. The staff are constantly working to maintain the property to keep it looking immaculate, from water blasting paths, to scooping leaves off the (awesome) pool. We were there in low season so the whole place had a really homely feel, and we were looked after like family by Jume (sorry I’m not sure of spelling!). The beach is super close and there are some fantastic local restaurants within stones throw, and the all important Thai pancake stall! Having said that, breakfast and lunch at Mellow Mango were both top notch too. One daughter said it was the best chicken fried rice in Thailand - and she sampled a lot of it!

Great location close to the beach, super nice vibe, amazing breakfast, nice staff & really nice pool

We really loved the vibe in the hotel with bungalows that were located around the reception that also served as breakfast/chillout area. The pool was fairly big and super fresh and we loved having breakfast in the chillout lounge every morning. The breakfast had both various egg dishes, pancakes, youghurt, lots of fresh fruit and amazing coffee that came from Chian Mai in the northern part of Thailand. We also spent a couple of early evenings in the breakfast area, playing cards and having a drink. The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. The location was also great with walking distance to the beach and a bunch of restaurants.

The room was OK, but it was located just by the entrance to the hotel area and we could hear cars in the early mornings. The room was clean but the shower cream and schampo bottles were very outdated with a mix of new and old liquid. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Lovely place

We enjoyed our stay at this place. The surroundings were beautiful — the gardens and outdoor areas are extremely well maintained. The pool was also cleaned every day, which we appreciated. Our bungalow was spacious, clean, and overall very comfortable. The location is also good, with many great restaurants nearby.

There were a lot of mosquitoes, and while the resort does spray something to manage them, we had mixed feelings about it — not sure how healthy or effective it is. Another downside was that we were charged an additional fee upon arrival for choosing to pay by card. It would be much more convenient if payment could be handled directly through the Booking.com system. Also, it would be fair to clearly mention the extra charge in advance, as it can add up, especially for longer stays.

Dutch owners are incredibly rude.

Stunning, comfortable and lovely local staff- all apart from the Dutch owners who were incredibly rude and snarled at us making us feel very unwelcome. We have nothing but positive things to say about the rest of the staff who were extremely kind. Slight issue with plumbing but that’s to be expected on an island. Breakfast was perfect!

Very nice pool, friendly staff, comfortable bed, spacious rooms, good location near the beach. I definitely recommend staying at the Mellow Mango. The owners are also very friendly and will give you lots of recommendations about Koh Lanta/Thailand in general which is amazing. I loved sitting out the front of my bungalow and saying hello to all the staff/other guests in the mornings. The Mellow Mango is full of good, laid back vibes. Would stay again.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The owners take great care about all the guests. In the resort you find everything you need - great breakfast with many fruits and homemade jams; long pool; trip recommendations; laundry service; bike rental and much more. Very pleasant stay

We think that the resort was really nice and quiet, and the location was good. Only downside according to location was that there is many bars on the beach, and we like peace and quiet. Our room was clean and air condition works well. We rent a motorbike (scooter) so moving around was easy. It was also easy to handle trips throught hotel.

Only thing that wasn't so good is the bars and music from the beach, but we could sleep well so it didn't bother that much.

Right on the beautiful beach

Lovely rooms all recently refurbished and beautiful grounds. Bed extra comfortable, large with soft bed linen. Nice brand new pool and very close to the long and beautiful beach. Good breakfast, freshly prepared. Friendly cats.

Not enough sun beds as only 8 and sadly 1 was broken. Bean bags not a great option if you wish to sit up. The Dutch hosts were very polite although personally I missed the Thai hospitality you usually receive that is provided to all guests Great breakfast, although would have appreciated some changes to add variety to the 7 day stay. There were often people smoking at breakfast which in a small area was not pleasant as non smokers but again only my personal preference
