Remodeled house w/ ocean view. Steps from the beach & 5 min walk to the village!

We came to Carlsbad to visit my son and his wife who live just a few blocks from Austin and Rachel’s home. We always enjoy spending a lot of time at the beach with them so this house was in the perfect location, just a block from the beach. The house has everything you can possibly need. The kitchen is very well stocked with quality dishes and pots and pans. The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of towels, beach towels and also beach chairs and an umbrella for guests to use. The chairs and umbrella were in good condition too, which isn’t always the case at beach house rentals. The patio is fabulous - huge, with loungers, a gas fire pit, gas barbecue grill, table and chairs - a great place to relax and hang out after a long day at the beach. There is also off street parking which was nice, especially on a holiday weekend when street parking near the beach was at a premium. We had a small issue with the air conditioner and the house was not cooling. Turns out a breaker had just flipped and Austin came over personally to take a look and found the issue. And just in case that didn’t fix the problem (which it did), Rachel ordered two fans that were delivered to the house right away. Great house and fantastic hosts - we will be back for sure when we come visit our son in Carlsbad.

Property was wonderful, and owners have done a great job with it. We spent every morning and evening on the front patio, next to the fire pit. Between fires we’d take a quick walk to the beach The joint is fully stocked with all the little things that add up if you buy them on your own and we never ran out of the essentials like paper products and soap! Such a nice street that is pretty much perfect!

Loved staying here with family and our dog. Great location and very clean house. Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing time. The proximity to the ocean and village were perfect and the house had all the amenities one would need for a beach day. The hosts were very responsive and kind. we would definitely stay here again.
