The Space: Welcome to La Maisonette d'Angeline, a beautifully renovated upstairs retreat ideal for 6-8 guests. Nestled on the second floor of a historic home, this thoughtfully designed space offers comfort, charm and convenience in the heart of Charleston.
Step into a cozy living area featuring plush seating for five and a large flat-screen TV, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. Just beyond the living room, a fully equipped kitchen awaits with stainless steel appliances, a spacious farmhouse sink, and everything you need to whip up breakfast or a gourmet dinner. Enjoy your coffee at the high-top table for two or dine al fresco on the private piazza, where a classic diner-style table seats six, with additional high-top seating nearby - perfect for Charleston's mild evenings.
Off the piazza, you'll find the first bedroom, complete with a king sized bed, a striking original fireplace, and a romantic ensuite bathroom featuring a timeless clawfoot tub. As you move through the home, you'll pass a charming butler's pantry and coffee bar en route to the second ensuite bedroom, which offers a queen size bed, another beautifully preserved fireplace with detailed tile work, and a walk-in shower in it's private bath.
Two additional bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with a queen bed, share a well appointed hallway bathroom with a walk in shower. Each bedroom is equipped with it's own flat screen TV, plush linens and spa like bath amenities for a truly comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. There are four bedrooms, all with comfy beds. Two baths have nice showers. The front en-suite has a clawfoot bathtub, which is great for baths but not as great for showers. We just ended up using the other two showers during our stay. The kitchen is well appointed, and the living room cozy. Plenty of hot water for showers. It is located on a side street, so you don’t get a ton of traffic down it. But the front bedroom is right on the street and can be a bit noisy on the weekends, with people and cars frequenting the road until 2am. Luckily sound machines are in each room and that took care of any noise issues for us. It’s also located right above a coffee and sandwich shop, which is great for breakfast. They open at 7 during the week which was fine for us, but if you like to sleep late, it may get a little noisy with doors closing. The food there was excellent. Food options all around were great too. There’s a pizza shop at the next corner. Two blocks away is a great breakfast restaurant. The upper part of King street is very close with tons of restaurants. The aquarium is within walking distance too. You could walk to the lower part of Charleston but it’s a good mile and a half. The only issue is the closest grocery store was about a mile away. We did what we could with the local convenience stores and DoorDash. Not something the host can fix, of course, but worth knowing if you need anything from a grocery store.
