Guesthouse Charleston EAST 42 B

Facilities were in good order, property was clean and spacious. Nice to have kitchen and living room space. Bedrooms were fine with nice comfortable beds. Bathrooms nice, although shower pressure very poor. Good location less than a block from King street. A good location to explore a beautiful city. Close to visitor centre and free trolley bus 211, which helps when feet get tired from exploring.

Unfortunately there was extremely loud construction work only two doors away. A pounding noise and shaking sensation greeted us as we arrived at the property. Piling driving started just after 7am every morning and continued to almost 5pm. The glasses on the shelves shook and clinked, the house literally vibrated. Sitting outside would have been impossible. We had been given a check in time and door code, but I asked for a slightly earlier check in time and was this was accommodated and a new code provided. However, this new code would not open the door. After several attempts, I tried the older code, which did work. A poor start, which created a very poor impression. It was a pity to be awoken each morning to this pounding, reverberating noise and sensation. Luckily we had plenty off in Charleston to explore during the day, but you wouldn’t be keen to return before construction work had wrapped up for the day.

Great location 105 Spring St unit A

Toilets need to be replaced as they were kid size. Need comforter height, elongated toilets.

Unit was quiet and comfortable. Nice patio furniture outside in courtyard.

No pool.

The company informed us before our trip that our accommodations had to be switched due to repairs needed I'm the unit above us, so we were upgraded to unit 82A--and boy, wasn't that great for my group--better than the other unit probably, so thanks for recommending the change, given the circumstances. Everybody gave me a big "thumbs up" and 5 stars for locating your properties for our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds very comfortable. The large showers were great too. We also enjoyed the living room and porch areas. We shared some suggestions for minor improvements, but overall the experience was excellent, and the customer service (thanks, Jordan!) was above-and-beyond extraordinary.

Just minor things--nothing I didn't like.
