Such a unique experience, staying in a boat in the harbor of Palermo! It really was fun. It’s kind of like camping, in that it’s a cramped space, and it’s best to use the shower and toilet facilities at the marina building nearby. But the experience of sitting outside on top of the boat, drinking wine, looking up at the sky and up at the city is pretty cool. Host Stefano was very helpful-even recommended a fantastic restaurant nearby.
It’s a bit inconvenient to go to the marina to use the toilet and shower, and they’re communal so cleanliness varies. The water on the boat smelled strongly of sulfur, so it didn’t seem like an option to shower there.

Heerlijk om op een bootje in de haven van Palermo te vertoeven. Mooie uitvalsbasis om Palermo te ontdekken en zo nu en dan ook even op een bootje te dobberen en van een boek te genieten. Aan de haven liggen diverse horecagelegenheden waar je kunt ontbijten, dineren óf van een Italiaanse koffie kunt genieten. Gastvrouw en heer, reageren snel en kunnen van alles voor je regelen. Bijvoorbeeld een taxi van het vliegveld naar de boot.

Fantastische locatie, mooie boot, heerlijk ontbeten op de flybridge
Landvasten zijn verpakt in plastic kokers, die 2 nachten tegen de boot aan schuurden en teveel herrie maakten vanwege harde(?) wind. Resultaat 2 hele slechte nachten. Eigenaar heeft nog wel tevergeefse poging gedaan om het op te lossen.

Tutto, la gentilezza di Giorgia e Stefano, due padroni di casa eccellenti, ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio nella loro barca come fosse nostra. La posizione è davvero comoda, c’è un parcheggio vicino. La posizione è perfetta per visitare i punti principali di Palermo ma dormire lontano dal caos.
Nulla, la doccia è piccolina ma per noi non è stato un problema perché non siamo due giganti.
