Check in was easy, the location is excellent. Close to everything you'd need. About an 8 minute walk to Aldgate East Tube. The room had a desk, bed, shower, sink, kettle, tea making facilities, window, AC and comfortable bed. I was there 4 nights and enjoyed it. Would definitely stay again.
There is no toilet in the room and the toilet in the shared hallway made a LOT of noise (an electric pump runs every few seconds for about a minute every time someone flushes). it was mostly fine but I struggled to sleep through it in the early morning.

You pay for what you get and this is budget accommodation in an excellent area. You won't get a better deal. Serves it purposes. Very basic and clean. Air con was a life saver during hot days and nights. Without would have been torture. If you don't like the smell of curry you probably won't like the room as it looks adjacent onto a busy Indian restaurant kitchen.
Sharing toilets. But at least had own shower (even if it's very noisy!)

The property has coded entry to front door and rooms. Annoying for older people who need to go to the toilet in the night. The bed was comfortable but the bedside light did not work. seems all the sockets did not work as there was a large multi socket extension run in for kettle and TV.
The plumbing upstairs above me made a loud whining noise whenever used and the toilet down the hall made a thumping noise. No bedside light and much noise on the street.
