I felt cozy and comfortable here. It's quiet, there's no street noise. Self-service check-in.

A clean apartment with modern renovations. Conveniently located, close to the train and bus stations, which serve almost all city buses. There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby. Inside, there's everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The heating system is set to automatically shut off. When it got cold outside, the apartment was quite cold in the morning.

De ligging is erg goed: loopafstand van het centrum en restaurants en supermarkt dichtbij. Het appartement ziet er van binnen goed uit. Gratis parkeren op het binnenhof van het appartement. Fijne douche en goede wasmachine met zeep.

We kregen instructies om binnen te komen en te parkeren. Een code voor de poort tot het binnenhof waar de auto geparkeerd mocht worden. Die poort kon je echter zo openduwen en daar was echt geen code voor nodig. Het appartementsgebouw ziet er verlopen uit. Het trappenhuis is ronduit slecht: treden zijn flink versleten en je moet zelf verlichting bij je hebben, want de verlichting op het trappenhuis doet het soms wel en soms niet en soms op een verdieping wel, soms ook niet. Om toegang te krijgen tot het appartementsgebouw hadden we ook een code. De deur werd echter geblokkeerd met een steen en stond dus open. Volgens de beheerder was dat door bewoners gedaan om het trappenhuis door te luchten. Echt veilig oogde dit niet. Na die toegang kwamen we bij de deur van het appartement. Eerst een tussendeur die tot de gang naar 2 appartementen toegang geeft. Die zat wel op slot en die sloten wij steeds af. Daarna heb je nogmaals een deur met slot met toegang tot het eigenlijke appartement. Litouwen is redelijk veilig, daarom hadden we vrede met het alleen kunnen afsluiten van die twee deuren. Maar het trappenhuis en het binnenhof zijn echt schandelijk verwaarloosd en die moeten hoognodig aangepakt worden. Het op zich prima tweepersoonsbed staat behoorlijk ingeklemd. Een kant is alleen vanaf het voeteneind bereikbaar (daar had je zo'n 20 cm ruimte). Aan die kant was er ook geen stopcontact, wel een vensterbank. Verder ontbrak een koffiemaker (machine/cafetière/zelfs geen los filter). De wastafel in de badkamer is niet geschikt voor kleine mensen: hij is boven de wasmachine gemonteerd. Voor ons, lange Nederlanders boven 1.85m, was dat oké.

The rooms were clean, I liked the style the flooring was nice, shower was good it had shampoo included. There was a nice cafe across the street serving Lithuanian food. And the kitchen had some decent utensils and a new frying pan and a few pots.

Parking was very limited. You can’t park inside, as the area is extremely full, and it’s tight to reverse out of , I ended up having to find parking nearby. The corridors getting up to the apartment were in really poor condition, worse than your typical Lithuanian USSR times built flat. The apartment was cold, and on one night it was particularly chilly. I had to contact them to resolve it, but I still had a poor night’s rest. They set the heating to 21 degrees (which is still better than what I had to go through), and you have to ask them to increase it, which isn’t convenient as you have no control over the heating especially no control over when the heaters turn on. Additionally, the checkout time is 10am, which is too early. They allow you to request a later checkout, but that feels like unnecessary hassle, especially when check-in isn’t until 3pm.
