Lovely apartment let down by very uncomfortable beds

The location was ideal for two people coming from different parts of the country and for what we wanted to do. I know the village a little and always enjoy staying. The accommodation itself should be great as it is located in the heart of the village. It has a comfortable, well furnished lounge, a good bathroom and two bedrooms of a very good size. The kitchen was well fitted out with everything we needed. Access is up a flight of stairs which is easy, though with a big or heavy bag you may want to take care as it is also a steep flight.

Unfortunately, the cleaning staff let the hosts down for our visit and so there were issues of cleanliness and readiness for our stay. However, people should know that the hosts were horrified at what happened and rectified the situation as soon as they knew they could do something about it. I imagine this was a one-off blip and it wouldn't stop me booking again.

Location was good. Very nice, spacious, clean apartment. Had a question for the owner and the response was swift.

An information leaflet at the property would have been useful. Listing where to put a full bin bag, if you need to strip the beds before leaving, that you need to turn the hot tap on fully to pull the hot water through etc. The air fresheners were very strong and I had to turn them off.

Lovely apartment in ideal location

Very clean, well designed and well equipped. Lovely apartment. Kitchen ideal. Excellent location in the village.

Only downside was the mattresses on the bed were very soft and not the most comfortable.

A great place to stay, we would happily return.

The apartment was warm and comfortable, good equipment in the kitchen, plenty of room and storage space, smart TV, fabulous location.

Nothing that we didn’t like, although improvements would be a bigger hot water tank so there was more hot water from the tap (shower is electric so not affected by this), and better mattress covers.

Location is great; within walking distance to everything in the village. Restaurants nearby, and shop downstairs.

Washing machine did not drain & spin. There was not “initial start-up coffee and tea.” We arrived early so could purchase in the shop downstairs; however, late arrivals would be out of luck.

Loved it! Could quite happily have stayed longer. Very comfortable and great location.

Nothing to dislike. Possible couple of suggestions, upgrade some of the sockets to USB and add a table lamp in the main area as found ceiling lights bright.

The size and location of property although on a noisy road and church bells ring all through the night.

The smell. There was an extremely strong and unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke. In a small apartment there were 5 plug in vaporisers to try and combat this. Ruined our stay and we left a night early.
