An old pub with very comfortable accommodation. The best breakfast EVER.

I loved staying at The Waltzing Weasel. I had a very warm welcome and my room was comfortable and clean. There was plenty of off street parking. The breakfast was the best I had in my six weeks of travelling. Unfortunately, it was the last night of B&B. I feel lucky and privileged to have stayed there.

No-frills spot for a good night’s sleep. Landlady should have her own TV show

Hearty old-fashioned breakfast — fried bread! — was a great start to a day’s walking. Staff super friendly and helpful. Good shower. Local town Hayfield has decent pubs and an excellent Italian restaurant. It’s 10 minutes walk

Lovely, old, but cleverly updated. Wonderful location. We walked down a nice trail each night to Hayfield to eat at 2 different restaurants. There also was ample parking.

We had a lovely stay at this B&B

Breakfast was fantastic. We had a huge room with a lovely view of the hills. Ensuite was also massive. The owner was a lovely lady you could have a nice chat with and informative about the area and where to eat for evening meals. Big free carpark

I loved my stay at the Waltzing Weasel. Carole was such a fantastic landlady and was a joy to chat to. My room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was excellent. Location is great too particularly for walks in and around Hayfield.

Brilliant hostess with an amazing place.

The landlady Carol was brilliant. Very professional and very funny. The hostess with the mostess. Huge room and bed. Lovely breakfast. Views amazing.

Excellent and good value for money

The property was in a really good location, facilities were good also done a really nice breakfast was also options for gluten free and vegan. The host was very friendly and helpful, was very chatty and made everyone feel welcome

Great place with a wonderful hostess

Very comfortable stay- nice room with great selection of teas/coffees etc. Carol is a star. We loved our chats with her. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into Hayfield along old railway line for pubs/restaurants. Beautiful views of surrounding countryside. Lovely big windows in the breakfast room. And what a great name!!

There’s a bit of noise from the road but not much you can do about this.

Super host, nothing too much trouble, great place to stay

Fantastic stay here, lovely spacious room with all amenities. The bed was very comfortable, shower piping hot, room was quiet even though it was at the front of the property. Glorious views over the dales. Breakfast was as other reviewers have said - brilliant! Carol makes everyone feel welcome, a great host! Would highly recommend a stay here.

Carol and Simon were very welcoming, bed comfy and breakfast outstanding quality and presentation. Very clean, good quality toilet tissue, everything you need for even a longer stay.

I wish we had stayed longer

Our room was spacious and well appointed. Fresh milk for tea and coffee was readily available. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Decent WiFi connection. Our room had been recently decorated. Breakfast was very good. Carol is a very good and characterful host. The beautiful village of Hayfield is a short walk away. We will definitely be returning.

A fantastic stay, Carol is the best host. So welcoming and attentive. Beautiful location perfect for exploring nearby Castleton. The room was really spacious and clean. Breakfast was amazing and we both slept really well. Do not hesitate to book!

Ideal location for walks in the Peak District and easy access to pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. We had a lovely spacious room, well equipped and with gorgeous view over Hayfield and surrounding hills.

Beautiful setting and easy to find. Hostess was lovely and made us very welcome She even changed our room to a beautiful down stairs one because of my husbands heart condition. Would recommend it it everyone and we will certainly book.there again if we visit that part of the country. I am.Gluten free and the breakfast was beautiful..

Great B&B just outside Hayfield

Carol was super friendly. The B&B had a fabulous setting and view. Great rooms with sofas and a bath . Good solid breakfast and fabulous coffee.

Water pressure was a bit weak at times, but we were warned. Long time for hot water. 0.6 miles from Hayfield but easy walk into town.

What a find! So glad we chose the Waltzing Weasel!!

We wish we had stayed a week instead of just two nights as just loved everything about this B & B. Host, Carol, was super friendly and more than hospitable and gave us some lovely tips on the area. We throughly enjoyed our long chats. Carol was made for running a B & B! The breakfasts were beautiful and our room was spacious with a sofa to relax on. The nearby Millennium Walk was so pretty as was the rest of the Peat district which we explored for two days. The Waltzing Weasel has 8 rooms but all runs smoothly and Carol gives indIvidual attention to her guests. Thanks so much Carol - you may see us again when we're next in the UK😉

loved the place and the history in the hotel room book,What a gorgeous view we had in the triple room which was a lovely big room, with normal and decaf sachets of tea and coffee, with fresh milk in a fridge outside the room besides the usual little on tray milk, the complimentary bathroom toiletries was a lovely touch, Lovely full breakfast .Carol and staff was very welcoming and down to earth, would definitely go back x

The only thing which without being negative was our fussy daughter would've liked morning pastries as she doesn't eat cooked breakfast or cereal. so just had toast, and I would've liked fruit.

Lovely H&B location with wonderful views. Staff lovely and welcoming and the breakfast was very good. The attention to detail was really thoughtful and little things like water in our room, chocs as well as tea and coffee. Anything we needed, if they could accommodate it, then they would do their utmost to help.

It’s a real shame to say anything negative with such lovely hosts, however, it would be wrong to not mention the bed! I think I felt every single spring in the bed and if there was a slim chance I didn’t, I woke up regularly - especially if I moved - to feel said spring just so I didn’t miss out! The rooms were pleasant, but there bathroom could do with more care and cleaning. Certainly not the worst place to stay and not unkept or dirty, just needs a bit more attention to cleaning. Everything else was great.

Perfect b&b

The hostess was amazing and incredibly helpful. We arrived early but this wasn't a problem. You could tell that she loves her job as this shines through everything she does. Little touches made all the difference and I would definitely recommend this b&b. Also the breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever had.

Second time at the waltzing weasel and just as good as before. Amazing view of the dales (and local alpacas). Brilliant breakfast and amazing hosts.
