Amazing Sea View Apt with Pool Cascais - atjoanas

The apartment had a nice living room, a comfortable queen bed, and a kitchen equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and everything needed to cook a meal. The balcony view and overall setup were pleasant. Location is very convenient if you’re staying in Cascais, with a grocery store within a 10-minute walk. The swimming pool on the 13th floor is shared with the building but hardly crowded, it was very clean, quiet, and we loved using it.

The shower and kitchen were quite small. Traveling to Lisbon from here isn’t very practical, it’s over a 30-minute drive, Ubers are pricey, and the train takes a long time.

It’s very bizzare not to have basic amenities in the apartment such as napkins, paper towel, salt and pepper, shower gel, laundry detergent, etc As it’s available for short term rent through Booking.com for people who are vacationing, it should provide the basic amenities as mentioned above. And it’s not that they cost a lot. Having a guest staying for 5 days but all of this stuff themselves is weird, but I had to do it and leave it there because on the first day I couldn’t even take a shower or put salt on food that I ordered. Strange and inconvenient The ask to clean up, wash the dishes and take the garbage out before your leave is also strange - like common I am on vacation, I don’t want to spend time doing the cleaning on my vacation and that should be included in the price And in general, as I travel all the time - this is the first time I am met with it. The hot water runs out very quickly also Otherwise it’s a very nice apartment

Location was lovely, just a 20 minute walk into the centre. Beside a nice supermarket and park. Parking also was easy in front of the building, behind or across the road which was free. The view from the top of the building from the swimming pool was incredible. Kids loved the pool! Always quiet and really nice.

Apartment was perfect for our needs and budget. It met our expectations and was perfect for our small family.

1. The apartment is clean and spacious and there are 2 big balconies with beautiful views. 2. Unheated common pool on rooftop was nice

1. Horrible smell of sewage in a bathroom made it very unpleasant to be in there.... 2. There is an electric stove which supposed to activate once you place a pan on it, it didn't work - did not heat up at all. I texted Manuela, the host on Sunday but she didn't reply. I texted on Monday again and she replied that it should work (again, we tried and it didn't). Long story short, for 3 days we had to go out with a small baby and eat elsewhere, which is pricey and inconvenient. 3. Location is 20 mins away walking from anywhere central, which is inconvenient if you are with a small baby and no car. 4. Property has a rule that you must wash dishes, and throw all the garbage out - which if you are on holidays & with a small baby - is the last thing you want to do!!!
