188 Apartments - Petúnia - Pool and Balcony

Lovely place, offering excellent, spacious and clean accommodation close to the center of Cascais (about 20mins walking in a safe and nice neighbourhood). I was greated by the host upon arrival by train from Lisbon, and shown around the place. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was very well equipped with lots of utensils, the bathroom was quite small but had a good shower with hot water and soaps. The bed was a bit too hard for me personally, as is usual the case upon my stay in Portugal but I managed, and I slept well because the place is very quiet at night. There's quite some street noise during the day, especially from the buses that pass by, but it was fine. Upside is the bus takes you anywhere in the area, so even without a car you can easily reach places to visit. I enjoyed the terrace and had breakfast there, but did not make use of the pool (although it looked very tempting). Very much appreciated the welcome gifts and the attention paid to making guests feel comfortable. Value for money is excellent! Would recommend!

L'appartamento era meraviglioso! C'era tutto il necessario e super pulito! Davvero comodo anche per la posizione: in meno di 15 min a piedi si raggiungeva il centro ma era in una zona residenziale tranquilla con facile parcheggio. Di fronte a casa c'è un supermercato favoloso con ogni cosa! Il padrone di casa è una persona meravigliosa e super attenta ai suoi ospiti; ci siamo sentiti come a casa!!Tutto è stato perfetto!

This was my 4th time to Cascais, and I have now discovered a HIDDEN GEM. From the minute we arrived, we received an amazing welcome from Alexandre. We arrived on an early flight and Alexandre arranged for us to leave our luggage. The apartment is located right across the road from a fabulous new supermarket where we went to each morning for lovely fresh breads etc. The apartment was bright, clean, and very well equipped. The swimming pool was spotless clean and was cleanned every night robotically. There was a beautiful bottle of local wine and cookies along with a really nice welcome note. This attention to detail stole my heart. Alexandre is an amazing,ing host and takes great pride in maintaining his apartments, all of the sunbeds and even the walls were washed regularly during our stay. I am looking forward to our next trip to 188 Petunia already.
