Surrounded by the nature of the Val Pedogna, near the natural park of the Alpi Apuane, in a secluded and quiet position, the Residence “Ai Sorbi” is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The entire property has been recently renovated and equipped with elegant furniture, with the typical Tuscan architecture mixed up with a modern style. The owner Andrea Salvetti is an artist who built this home with the help of some of the best designers (E.Sottsass, G.Pesce,A.Ciffo etc.). Moreover, the position of the house is really perfect, since it is surrounded by the nature of a valley but 22 km away from Lucca and 35 km away from the sea. You can easily reach the Garfagnana, with its typical products (porcino mushrooms, chestnuts flour and hulled wheat), as well as Pisa, Florence, Siena and other Tuscan destinations. The stone swimming pool is 13x6 m and you can get to the property through 500 m of a paved road.

The host Patrizia is lovely, really helpful. Comfortable and spacious house which is well equipped and with characterful designer furnishings and lighting etc. Though quite pleased to find a modern more traditional sofa than the seating cubes shown on the website photos. Excellent wifi in the house, though it didn't reach to the pool (not a bad thing!). Good aircon which managed to keep the 35C heat at bay. Be prepared for a couple of kilometers single track road with few passing places to get to the property. It's a quiet road though and we only met a couple of cars when leaving on the last day. Recommend visiting the small hilltop town Coreglia Antelminelli, and we had a lovely visit to the Orto Botanico in the Apuan Alps, amazing views of mountains made of carrara marble, and guided tours of the wild flowers just 5 euros each.

We had a great time at this property! The location is remote and quiet. The pool was sensational. The renovated small house has everything you need to enjoy, bond and reconnect with the loved ones. A great grocery store (Esselunga) is 15 in away by car. Highly recommended!

We had a very nice holiday. Beautiful house, nice swimming pool, lots of privacy. Location is beautiful, but somewhat remote. This means it takes a little longer to get there, via a challenging road. Also no reception for 4 or 5G, WiFi is limited. No problem for us, more time to read, play games and relax. Plenty to see in the area, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, Pistoia etc. We ate at El Paso Trattoria Pizzeria in Lucca, highly recommended!

A beautiful house on top of the mountain. Great views, fully equipped kitchen, good beds and a great and beautiful pool. The road to the house is not for everyone. My wife is scared of heights so that did not help. My daughter and I loved the little off road part. One point of critism: the house is a little bit smelly. Maybe because of the workshop that is attached to the house. I let Patrizia know and she told me she would address it.

We spent two very relaxing weeks at Serore. We were in the "Sorbi" appartment, which is a separate house from the main building (approx. 50m away). It was spacious (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) and clean with a fully equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher). There is also a small roofed eating area outside and a lawn with deck charis overlooking the valley. The place is remote, but therefore very quiet and peaceful. The host, Patrizia, sent detailed instructions of how to get to Serore. She also made a reservation in an excellent restaurant nearby for us and had a lot of tips and recommendations. Overall, Patrizia is really a great host! The swimming pool is shared with the other apartment, which was no problem at all. Everyone enjoyed the pool very much. In summary, we had a great time at Serore, and we would absolutely recommend it for a relaxing vacation.

The house seems old and smells, pool to share with other guests from house nearby (not clear in advertising - we thought it was only 1 house with pool to share with family). Pool even though very nice and environment beautifull. Hostess very friendly.

There are two properties at this location, we stayed in the standoff farmhouse nearest the drive. A wonderful quirky Italian farmhouse which is well looked after. The views are incredible and are not easily surpassed. This property does not have aircon or WIFI but is equipped with fans and window shutters. WIFI signal is available if you approach the main farmhouse property. There is a lovely swimming pool which is shared between the two properties, it is well maintained and does not feel cluttered. The views and peacefulness of the location are outstanding and is ideal for an escape from normality. Not necessarily ideal for teenagers unless they are content with limited outside contact - but for adults wanting a relaxing and peaceful holiday it is ideal. Our host Patrizia is very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. You will need a car for this location as walking to the nearest village is difficult given the narrow roads and hilly countryside.

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage in the Italian mountains. Although weather was not the best, the fellas still tried out the outdoor pool. Our host, Patrizia was very responsive even answering our call after midnight as we were a bit lost trying to find the location in the dark. The cottage is very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable although WiFi was non existent in the unit we stayed in. Also having 2 bathrooms was a bonus with 4 adults. Overall we had a very nice stay!

We have had a great week with two couples in this lovely place. Although it is pretty desolated, within 25 minutes you are in Lucca. Lovely owner, who is willing to help you with everything. A little noisy in the home itself. Perfect for a relaxing holiday.

We first stayed in this property (Sorbi) 3 years ago, and returned this summer as we all had such great memories of the holiday here. We were not disappointed! The house itself is spotlessly clean with 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The outside space includes the beautiful pool, table tennis area in the shade and swing/ see saw area, as well as several areas with chairs and tables. The view is amazing and the quiet- just the sound of the crickets and church bells. We had a great time here with teenagers aged 13 and 15. We did day trips to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We also spent time exploring the local area and beautiful villages. A car is essential, and take food and basic supplies with you. We highly recommend this villa!

The house was well equipped with plenty of room, beautiful kitchen with large eating area, parts of the house are quirky but very tasteful done, the pool area was beautiful with sun beds either side, idea place for families or couples to enjoy the peaceful setting, a car is essential due to the location ideally taking basic supplies with you on arrival, large supermarket situated 15 minute drive away, found local restaurants excellent. A trip to Lucca is a must ( the walled city ) Patricia was an fabulous host nothing to much trouble

I loved the place. We had a family vacation and this was "home base" for two weeks while we wandered Italy. It is very modern. The owner was very accomodating. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons - 1 - it was a bit remote if one wanted city action and 2 - There were no cleaning fluids such as dishwasher soap, very little in the way of condiments such as salt & pepper. I would highly recommend this place and may just go back again. Beautiful view of the mountains and nice & quiet after a long day out & about. Local restaurants, specifically Il Bivio, were excellent!! And little "Blackie" the kitty was a nice greeter. Loved the fact all the windows opened up for fresh air during the day. Lovely spot!

Wonderful location on top of a hill with great view of the valley! The house is beautiful, spotless clean and well equipped! In the description it says "wifi available" but it is not functional and will probably never work properly! So don't count on it or on mobile connection either. The pool is just wonderful! It's large, fresh and always clean! We loved it and spent lots of time dashing around it! Location good, short drive to supermarket and to Lucca! Would definitely recommend to anyone and would love to come back!

We had a great time in this lovely house. The house itself is spacious inside, quiet and with a personal touch. There is also lots of room outside with picnic table and deckchairs (we had the standalone house). The pool was a highlight for us and the twin black kittens were the highlight for our 2 children. The surrounding area is rich with walking paths and the trip to Lucca is a breeze: we did it by train from the nearby Diecimo. Patrizia the owner was very friendly and cordial. We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful house in the peacefull countryside north of Lucca! Our kid's (16-13-10-7) loved the pool, the tarzan rope, feeding the pig and walking Eldra,the dog. They even survived 2 weeks without TV! We loved: the outdoor eating spaces (pic-nic table below the house, and the table below the canopy right beside the entrance). The very peacefull surrounding, the view, the flowers and the quieteness of Serore. The property is very well situated for visiting Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Cinqueterre and the seaside. After a long day of sightseeing it is wonderfull to come back to the quietness of the house and the refreshing pool. During the hottest days, we would lose up to 7-8 C. driving from Lucca to the house! The Owners, Andrea and Patrizia are nice and helpfull, they recommended some activities, restaurants and were very nice to talk to. They worked hard to keep this place clean and tidy and they succeded well! Thanks to both of you! We even had the chance to share a meal with the owner's family on the last evening, a pizza party, cooking pizza in their woodfired pizza oven, witch was a perfect ending of a great vacation. Note that this review is for residenza Ai Sorbi. It was lifetime memory for our family!

Ideally and quietly located in a magnificent and wild countryside, the house was perfect for us, and fully compliant with the description. House decoration, confort, and amenities were perfect. The only small regret was the absence of WIFI connection, but this should be fixed shortly according to the very nice and helpfull hostess, Patrizia. The surroundings are just wonderful, with many touristic highlights in a radius of 100 kms, and it is such a treat, after a day visit in the crowd, to return to the quiet surroundings of the house and to dive into the nice swimming pool ! Patrizia was also very helpful in providing us with useful tips and good adresses (restaurants in particular) closeby !

Offer very faithfully describes the place and the house - however, the biggest advantage of this offer is Patrizia - the owner, and her husband - Andrea. Patrizia is an extremely cheerful and ready to help in any subject. She is ready to help in every problem and patiently answers all questions. We highly recommend this place! Super holiday!"

"The house is beautiful and quiet location in the mountains with a fantastic view. The interior of the house is tastefully equipped with all comforts. The pool is nice and large with a nice view over the woods. The peace and loveliness of the place makes the stay very pleasant. Do you want the crowds, you''re within half an hour in Lucca. The owners are very friendly and speak good English. They give you the feeling that you are very welcome. In one word, great!"
