New Museum Guest House, Pyramids View

Awesome rooftop with views directly across the motorway to the GEM and pyramids. Go there for breakfast, or can sit there anytime. Staff were outstanding, especially the guy who brought me breakfast from the kitchen every day (sorry I don't know his name). Also, Hanna and Sandra saved me - I had a bad experience with a taxi driver from the pyramids back to the hotel and had to get out of the car in the middle of I don't know where! I got someone in a shop to ring the hotel, and Hanna and Sandra ordered an Uber to come and get me and bring me back to the hotel. They gave me a papyrus when I left Cairo to come home (NZ), which is now framed on my wall at home. The hotel rooms are quiet, double-glazed I'd say, can barely hear any traffic, and also the air-con is quiet, the pillows are comfy (not those stupid high pillows).

I didn't like the guy Ali who shook our hands at breakfast all the time. It was weird and uncomfortable, no one does that. The street that the hotel is in, isn't very nice, but this is typical of Egypt. It would be useful if Reception had some snacks we could buy, as the convenience store next door is filthy.

Good friendly staff. Fab location for GEM. Rooms clean tidy and comfortable.

The standout feature was the direct view of the Pyramids, especially at sunrise and sunset. The staff were welcoming and helpful, creating a warm, home-like atmosphere. The location is convenient for visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Plateau.

Facilities are basic, and the rooms are small with limited soundproofing. Some amenities are minimal, and the surrounding area can feel busy and noisy at times. Images are not reflective of the accommodation in totality. Basic amenities and no views from the room until you head to the rooftop.
